Sorry if this has been posted a billion times already, but does someone have a list of the best settings for Dolphin to run this game? I'm using a 1080 TI and an i7 8700K clocked at 4.8 GH with the latest current build (5.0 9.211) and I still get stuttering. I've turned on asynchronous Ubershaders, but still get some slowdown issues in the game. Is this because of shaders? or is the game just not able to run butter smooth?
Thanks for any responses, and sorry if this has been posted before. I tried to search, but it didn't seem to find anything. 12-22-2018, 03:28 AM

I've found a solution to pretty much eliminate stuttering on my i5 3570K. Go to Settings -> Advanced and click the checkbox for "Enable Emulated CPU Clock Override". When I set the override value to 50% it cleared up the stuttering at the cost of sometimes lowering the framerate from 60 to 30fps. The framerate change is instantaneous and it's pretty hard to notice during gameplay. At any rate, the fact that even an i7 8700K can't properly handle this game is quite disappointing. As per my earlier post, I was thinking about upgrading my CPU but if I'm not going to get much of an improvement in Dolphin then I won't bother, at least until I have a better reason to upgrade. 12-24-2018, 03:14 AM

Never played this game, but I can tell you I hate the second level. I can't find TIEs to save my life. 12-24-2018, 07:56 AM

Glad to hear that things are better for you, although I wouldn't have thought that leaving it at 100% would've been any different than leaving the CPU clock override option disabled(?) Yeah, for stages like that it's best to bring up your Targeting Computer so that the TIE fighters show up in a yellow colour. You can also enter in passcode(s) to open up the other levels. All I basically play in this game now is the Hoth level. 12-25-2018, 05:16 AM
Hi guys,
I'm assuming you all don't play with the widescreen Gecko code? Because it crashes every time and for the folks that have addressed it they don't get any responses. 12-28-2018, 04:08 AM

That's the level that I retested to see if the fixes worked. I couldn't find any TIEs, and right after I pass them, they disappear. Hoth level was up next, but I haven't played it. 03-26-2019, 06:09 AM
Thank you very much for pointing this out, I can finally play the game again. Do you know if there is a new code without the crashes?

Hi all, I was wondering if the new Unification of VideoCommon was good news for Factor 5 games like RS2. Does anyone have insight into whether we could expect speedups on the horizon because of this?
