How much of a performance boost is the 7700K compared to the 6700k?

To keep performance up. I mean, this video shows the person running 5.0 and on a weaker rig and everything runs fine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4unlwf8xP2U&t=221s Does anyone have a solution? NVM I found it i'll give it a try later today when i can record it! Although I was able to fix the FPS problems I had and since your comp is similar to mine give it a shot. Make sure to use vulkan or d3d12 to get multi threaded rendering. make sure borderless full screen is off in the graphics/advanced tab. you can turn on fast disk load speed (I feel like it helps scene transitions go smoother). and the most important thing is to make sure your GPU is running in high performance mode!!!! (mine got reverted and that is why my performance took a nose dive instead of running at 1.1 GHZ it was trying to run the game at 200-600 MHZ!!) I was even able to overclock the GC CPU to get better FPS in cutscenes.

"Speed Up Disk Transfer Rate" can only make the performance worse, not better. (It will make the loading times much faster in emulated time, but if your PC can't keep up with the fast loading times, emulation will slow down.) It makes sense that it can make scene transitions smoother, but it won't improve the framerate. 01-10-2017, 04:19 AM

I was assuming you thought it at least didn't hurt the performance since everything else you talked about seemed to be about gaining performance, but you did indeed note that you're using it for the scene transitions. 01-10-2017, 04:36 AM
Is there anything else I might have missed on the performance boosting front JosJuice?

IceStrike, try Rebel Strike, especially some co-op levels. For some reason, the game hangs now. :/

I'll try it this weekend and see what happens.
