don't need to turn off depth calc it seems.

now we just need fixed hle audio and a fix for the training level heat effect for efb2texture and it'll be perfect.

Sound is messed up in the master build. Using HLE and it's not working, crackling sound in all maps.

The music doesn't work with HLE in master, but LLE should work.

hmmm, Sorry ppl, i was wrong, i forgot that i ticked "dsp hle emulation (fast)" on in game-specific settings, it was overiding the lle audio.
now its working just fine.

Really sorry abouth that, well i just learned some new stuff

1833 has been updated to 5283 (just a reminder that's the one that has the hle hack which crashes two missions)
but at least hle audio works fine for all other levels.

5283 seems to be buggy, crashed rs2 & rs3.

emulator quit when playing hoth and froze on the first rs3 mission.

You are telling them to mess with a bunch of settings that they have no good reason to touch and that will change nothing. I don't think that is therefore good advice, you might have every good intention to help but if you don't know what you are doing the opposite will happen.

Example: you are telling them to remove emulate emulate format changes in the gameini only to suggest it as a general setting later on, how exactly is that helpful?
You are telling them to set External Frame Buffer to virtual in the general settings while it is already in the gameini and there is no need to do that. You are telling them to enable mmu which is already enabled in the gameini, disable Synchronize gpu thread which in it's undetermined state is disabled by default already, enable "DSP HLE emulation (fast)" in the gameini which there is no need to do that since is the default general setting anyway, enable "Speed up Disc Transfer rate", which just reduces the loading times and has no effect on actual gamespeed, enable dual core in the gameini which is already the default general setting of the emulator.

And you could skip all the above and just tell them to use efb to texture in general settings after removing them from the gameini which will cause some graphical issues and try to bear with them, along with staying with hle and bear audio issues. That is the main speedup you experienced really...
