1. There is a MASSIVE lag spike any time I switch into or out of first person mode, including the targeting computer. There is also very obvious visual popin and out when doing so. This happens with and without the 16:9 gecko code applied.
2. Inconsistent, seemingly random audio pops.
Running on a Ryzen 5 2600 and a GTX 1660. DX11 mode, with everything the wiki recommends set.

Would you mind sharing your settings then?  When I go to the training mission, any time I go through or near one of those rebel alliance award icons my game slows to a crawl and the sound becomes garbled.  Also, my sound crackles and pops at times.

Are you using the latest dev build of Dolphin, or an Ishiiruka branch like your profile says?

Also, go to Nvidia Control Panel and make a profile for Dolphin, and set the Power management mode to "Prefer maximum performance'

Something I found useful is by setting "deterministic dual core" to "true", game speed increases. Fake prevents the game from booting of course. Still can't get performance anywhere close to playable, the most FPS I've ever gotten is 14 and these are my specs:

Intel Core i9-10900K
NVIDIA RTX 2080 Super
64 GB DDR4 Memory
Samsung EVO 2TB SSD

Crazy how this game still manages to bog down machines like this but it can run PS3 emulation quite well.

I saw this game mentioned in the recent progress report. Despite all the fixes it got, performance only got 5 FPS better in Dual Core mode - however I saw Single Core mentioned in the report so I switched to Single Core and was surprised to see another 5 FPS gain. I still get extreme lag in the same situations as before, but this seems to be a step in the right direction. I can maintain 45-50 FPS now, going up to full speed in some very rare instances. Still surprised this game manages to bog down powerful machines.

I noticed that the progress report said that Factor 5 must've developed their own "texture streaming" system implying that Dolphin devs now know something. That would explain the constant stuttering and the lag in those certain circumstances - it's streaming in new textures. Hopefully someone knows a way to speed that up.

Thats just crazy! a few years ago build 5.xxx ran this game better with a Geforce GTX 980m got around 30-40fps back then.

Just in case anyone wasn't aware, the widescreen code provided in the first post in this thread actually works entirely correctly without any issues (unlike the code that was originally listed on the Dolphin Wiki page for this game, which I've just edited to replace with the one I linked).

Anyone with advice on how i could improve feel free to tell me im doing it all wrong and good luck!

Hi

Can somebody share with me with his controller settings? In RS2 I'm struggling with aiming issues - slight touch of arrow or analog makes too big shift of aim in game. From the other hand, aiming is almost perfect for RS3  in the same Dolphin. Dead zone5%, range 85.

I'm stuck here too. Using out-of-the-box Dolphin settings the game does run pretty smoothly, I can even get 80 to 120 fps at times but using the targeting computer is impossible due to the lag spike. If this can be resolved the game would be finally playable, do keep us posted if you find something, I'll be on the hunt myself.

I need some help. I can't seem to get the game working well at all. With the default settings, I can't get the game to run well at all, it runs fine in the menus, the cutscenes are laggy but mostly fine but when it gets into the actual game, the FPS goes between 40 and 1 FPS depending on what is happening on screen and I'm not sure how to fix this issue.

Here are my specs which should be more than good enough to get the game running well:
Intel I7 6800K
Nvidia GTX 1050 TI
16GB of DDR4 Ram
And I'm using an M.2 SSD.
