I'm surprised that I hadn't noticed I've been running in single core for who knows how long.

Dolphin has sure come a long way.

Hey guys, could you help me with something?
Im trying to run the game but i can never get a stable framerate, it fluctuates between 50-56 in ordinary missions (less in the training but i know that is to be expected), the framerate wouldnt be a problem but the sound cracks and it gets seriously annoying.

The framerate is like that whether i use native or 4x, opengl or dx11.
Im using LLE.
And i had to disable iddle skipping as it gets worse when turned on.
No retextures.

Is there an option to help with this? What are your configurations?

Operating System: Windows 10 - x64
Processor/CPU: Intel Core i5
Video Card/GPU: GTX 970
Memory/RAM: 12 GB Ram
Dolphin Revision Currently Using: 4.0-8526

I considered my cpu but would i be getting the same framerate in native and 4x if it was so?
Tks for the settings geneal han.
Yours isnt the first setting i see that has iddle skipping enabled, why could it be i cant use it? From what i undersand it isnt supposed to increase cpu usage.

Yeah well, what's the speed and make of your i5?

For example, my specs are:

CPU - i7 3930k @ 4.0 Ghz (at least this speed required!)
GPU - Sapphire 7870 Ghz edition
RAM - 2400 MHz 16 GB G.Skill
HDD - An SSD
Motherboard - Rampage IV Extreme (everything OC'd)

These are the bare essentials for Rogue Leader to run near 100%. You could try the CPU overclock function in the Advanced tab and set it to 80%, see if that makes the crackling less in Rogue Leader / Rebel Strike.

CPU I5 @ 2.75 Ghz
SSD

Yeah, i suppose it will not run 100% then. Will try the overclock, tks for the help.

Yeah, i suppose it will not run 100% then. Will try the overclock, tks for the help.

cpu is all that matters really with emulation, a decent gpu will help a little for upscaling, but it's mostly cpu power that is needed for playable emulation.

for normal pc gaming, only cpu / gpu matter.

ssd's only improve loading on certain games like battlefield 3.

ram speed does b all for gaming, fast ram is only useful if you are using applications that requiring lots of ram like editing software.
