It's been good until now, and I've been playing it on dolphin prior too and ever since Z-Freeze was implemented. Maybe I just didn't notice it before because I always had the, 'use panic handlers' box unchecked? Anyway, IceStrike you have to check out what Han's done to this now in his new pack. It's amazing! The floor in the hanger... It's bumpy, just everything is awesome, I'm not sure where to start.

BTW I killed a core on my 4770k trying to clock it high enough to run this game at 1080p res with texture filtering and per pixel lighting on, now I have a similar rig to yours - 4970k, GTX980ti, 16gig 2133 and a couple of 128gig SSD's. Is 4.7GHZ the sweet spot? I'm at 4.6 with 1.25v ATM and it's still slow, not like your videos. If I remember correctly, you used to run at 5GHZ on yours when you did the videos. I'm running pretty much using all the tricks in the book that the forum has come up with over the years. This is my current ini:

[Video_Settings]
FastDepthCalc = False
EFBScale = 7
AspectRatio = 1
WideScreenHack = false
SafeTextureCacheColorSamples = 128
EnableJIT = True
DSPThread = True
EFBToTextureEnable = False
EFBEmulateFormatChanges = True
EFBAccessEnable = False
ForceFiltering = True
DSPHLE = False
I'm running at 3xnative, per pixel lighting and forcing texture filtering with LLE sound on the version 7888 and still cant get anywhere near the picture you had in your videos! I've spent sooo much money trying to get this game running right Smile I wonder how Han goes using his 3930k? I know it's got more cores and it super deluxe board and all but wow, do I need a supercomputer to run this like your videos???

The devs have done an amazing job getting this game running and enhancing it. Han just keeps pushing it so much harder that it looks better than any other star wars game ever released. I don't say that lightly. If anyone has a rig capable of running this in 3d on dolphin and uses Hans latest texture pack, please tell us what it's like. I imagine the only thing better would be stepping into a real X-Wing.

Tueidj doesn't visit dolphin anymore shrimp.

Mickequipe I don't know what could be hurting your performance maybe just some background process that wants to mess with you or something. As far as over clock goes my 5 GHZ was just me testing the processor as far as RS2 is concerned 4.7 was equal to 5 lol. Your 4.6 should be more than overkill for dolphin. Finally bear in mind the videos I've done were taken after completing each level about 4 - 5 times to build every possible shader for caching that's why they seem so smooth. An easy way to build up some shaders is to leave the game at the title screen for a while and let it run through the level demos.

So I've got my Hands on the New Star Wars Battlefront beta and just found out you can use a Tow cable on the AT AT's in a snow speeder. I was right back In Rogue Leader for a moment there ;p : https://www.facebook.com/StillenachT79/videos/10156134962355472/

Yeah, just played some Battlefront and did dogfights in the Tie and X-Wing. Gotta say, Factor 5 nailed the flight dynamics in comparison to what DICE has done. I mean, what on Earth FOV did they utilize? It's all to do with map size in proportion to the Endor level on Rogue Leader.

Went over the Battlefront beta last night with Julian:
  • Hangar appeared to be same one used in Hoth levels for RS2 and RS3. If you notice, there is one X-wing in there. How on earth does the Millenium Falcon fit?
  • AT-AT color/detail wrong
  • X-wing exhaust modeled after RS2/RS3 exhaust(Which is different from movies)
  • Ties shoot torpedoes(WTF)
  • A-wing rudders in back do not move(how does it turn!?)
  • Hero animations look like RS3 walking animations
  • Ion Cannon has wrong color
  • Star Destroyers are in atmosphere on Hoth(WTF?)
  • A-wings, X-wings, Ties and Tie Advanced in Hoth atmosphere, again, wtf?
  • Flying mechanics suck
  • Sullust looks nice!
This game takes "authentic to the universe" and stretches it to a whole new level, in the name of playability, but then don't say you're trying to be authentic.

Haha! Yeah, everything you have said is actually right on target! I have to admit, the game is growing on me (I guess due to the atmospheric 'star wars' war-like feel to it), and I am getting better at the dog fighting. I just wish they utilized Rogue Leader's flight dynamics (which surprise surprise, is exactly the same as Battlefield 2 flight physics, because the aircraft have 'weight' and are not like paper planes).

Battlefield 3 was the beginning of paper-weight flight dynamics. Then Battlefield 4 made the FOV of the flight dynamics totally obscure. Now they have put that into Star Wars.

Then again, we must realize that the map size in Battlefront is immensely smaller (proportionally) to the Rogue Leader levels (note how small the Rebels are when they run on the ground in Rogue Leader). Hence the FOV problem.

Well, there are X-Wimgs, Ties, Tie-Interceptors, and Tie-Bombers (alongside a whole heap of Imperial transport ships) in the Hoth level on Rebel Strike. Tongue

But, the only difference is that is the big push to escape Hoth, and hence it is canon with the actual Star Wars story. Battlefront has got it all wrong.
