Hi Thirith. Rogue Leader is a demanding game even for a great CPU like yours.

Firstly, get the latest dev version from the download page and see if that helps, and select OpenGL as the graphics backend, this has worked best for NVidia cards for me in the past.

If the game is still slow for you on the latest dev build, try using the CPU clock override function located in, Config => Advanced. Start at about 80% and work you way up or down from there, monitoring how it effects the frame rate.

It's unlikely the game will still be running slow after that, however there are some more tricks you can use if you need too.

Give these suggestions a try and let us know how you go.

Thanks for the suggestions. No immediate improvement (just played Hoth, and the slowdowns were especially noticeable whenever I downed an AT-AT), though I have to play around a bit with the CPU clock override function.

A 4790k should have no problems running this game except imperial academy heist (curse that level!!) Latest dev build with default settings runs this game fine now.

Don't you get the distorted sound issues with default settings? I'd imagine you'd at least need to activate DSP-LLE.

Yeah lle on sorry. Try adding the on thread command to your game ini only thing that I can think of that would be different between our setups.

dsponthread = true

I think that's the command

Thanks, I'll try that. I think the line I had in my ini was this, which may well be wrong:

DSPHLE = False

Modern Dolphin versions will automatically enable DSP LLE on thread when it's possible. Setting it manually has no effect. (Besides, I think it's supposed to be DSPThread = True.)

That should work (if it's in the [Core] section), but you might also want to set EnableJIT = True in [DSP] so that you don't accidentally get the LLE interpreter.

Just wondering if there is a way for me to modify the ISO of Rogue Leader / Rebel Strike in order to alter the 3D models themselves? Here is a very high quality X-Wing model. The textures are 4096x4096 too.

People keep saying it turns on automatically but I get terrible performance in game if I don't manually set it which could explain thiriths problem also.

Yeah, I'm afraid I still get the slowdowns; I just need to start the training level and fly over Mos Eisley to get them.

Here's what I've got in my ini:

[Core]
DSPHLE = False
DSPThread = True
[DSP]
EnableJIT = True

Anything else that might be worth adding?
