Stuttering sound is caused by the game not being able to run at full speed. This game is very demanding for most PCs, so it's not strange that you're having performance issues.

Yeah, you won't get full speed at all times, however, you will get better speed using HLE audio. Since that is bugged for this game, though, you need a special build (Fiora's build) which you can find here: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-gc-star-wars-rogue-squadron-ii-rogue-leader?pid=364705#pid364705

So close to not needing EFB to RAM (or whatever it is called now) on this game anymore!! There are still the shadow problems and some minor screen transitions that aren't right. The terrain doesn't mess up anymore and targeting Comp has all the right colors. So much progress has been made GOOD WORK DEVS!!!!!!!!!!! Smile

There is also the heat effect that doesn't work in the training level if i remember correctly with lines in the horizon in it's place.

I just can't get this game to work properly. Getting constant crashes with various errors. Hard to keep up constant 60fps. And sound gets bugged. :/

Updated to the new texture pack and dolphin 5998(I think) and man does it run smooth now.

Almost no stutter when loading new levels(Im guessing due to new texture management system with ram).

The only thing we need now is sound via HLE Big Grin

Still not sure if using OpenGL or DirectX is better. Have to run through same level multiple times to remove almost all stutter.

Hm, have I missed something? Degasus hasn't merged custom texture preloading or caching-on-loading, yet, has he? 'Tis the feature I'm waiting for the most in Dolphin right now...

he has not. Right now it loads the mips of all textures into ram just not the originals but since there are so many mips in RS it basically makes everything much faster
