Are you using OpenGL, D3D11, or Vulkan video backend? Does disabling fog help?
Also, don't use a savestate. Save the game normally at a fairy, then close and reopen Dolphin, start from the fairy, and head to the water. If that still doesn't work, upload your memory card save and I'll take a look at it on my side 09-08-2018, 02:03 AM
i dont think im using any of those, im just using the dolphin emulator.
How can i disable the fog though? when i get home, i can PM you the memory card if thats cool :O 09-08-2018, 02:37 AM
Well you have to be using one of them, it's how Dolphin renders the games Look in the Graphics panel of Dolphin, it'll tell you which one you're using.
Also in the Graphics panel, go to the Enhancement tab. It's one of the text boxes. If you need me to I can also send my spyro .gci file, it's saved right in front of some water for an easy way to test if you need it. 09-08-2018, 06:06 AM
okay, so im using openGL, the one that comes with it.
and i wasnt sure how to export a memory card since the card manager couldnt find it, but i think this is the card with the right game on it? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tC9m0V8...sp=sharing 09-09-2018, 02:22 AM
That is the correct file. Looks like you're using the PAL version of the game, I had to convert your savefile to load in my NTSC-U game, but I had no problems jumping into the water in your game, so it's not your savefile.
If you right-click the game in Dolphin, go to Properties, and then go to Info, click the compute MD5 button, and compare it to the MD5 from this page: https://www.gametdb.com/Wii/G5SP7D If the MD5 doesn't match, you have a bad dump of the game and need to redump it from your console 09-09-2018, 05:23 AM
the MD5 checks out with the other one you showed me.
so does this mean that its just unplayable to me? it just crashes whenever i try to dive and that just sucks :^( 09-09-2018, 04:32 PM
Nope, just means we gotta try more stuff.
-Try changing it from OpenGL to D3D11 or Vulkan (click the dropdown and it'll list them) -check and see if you have any pending Windows updates -have Windows do a restart (not a shutdown, because shuting down might be using fast boot, but a restart does a clean boot from scratch) -check and see if you're running the latest Intel iGPU driver. If not, this should be the most up to date driver for you: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downloa...dows-15-40- 09-09-2018, 11:53 PM
OpenGL is the only one that works, the others gave me error messages, & it said Vulkan's files werent even found.
i did the rest of those things however 09-09-2018, 11:57 PM
