So, after getting out my old Spyro Hero's Tail disk out after the thread by triad about the Spyro games, I've been replaying my childhood. However, there's a problem with the fog in this game when going underwater, it pixelates the screen.

Fog enabled:

No, on a console it's supposed to look like the disabled picture. The IR doesn't matter, or AA, just the fog.
After suffering through the software backend, it renders the underwater scene properly, like the disabled fog looks

Are there any AR codes for this? Because I am having trouble with a few light gem mini-games...

AR codes to do what?
All the minigames I've come across: mole/Hunter/St. penguin (dont remember their names) have all worked perfectly for me

I noticed some odd behavior that may warrant further investigation. This game runs really slow with the opengl plugin but runs full speed with the direct3d one however, when i turned on the vsync in opengl, the game went full speed. This was the opposite of what i was expecting so i switched back to vsync off. the game remained full speed. Upon exiting and restarting the emulator, performance was poor again. Once again, if i cycle the vsync the performance pics up in both vsync settings. It seems that no matter what vsync position i have set, Spyro runs poor with opengl until i cycle the vsync. Is this perhaps a bug? if this where fixed the game would run full speed for me. I wonder if other games will exhibit similar behavior.

How are you enabling Vsyc in the game? Hotkey button or opening the graphics panel?
