Heya! I just did some testing in this game, and have improved results from everything on the wiki. How should I go about submitting something? I also need to know how to properly find out what revision of Dolphin I'm using, it seems to only want to give me this long string of numbers and letters.

When you run Dolphin, it should tell you the version number in the top of the main window title bar.

Hi, so the game seems to run flawlessly, and I've completed the Heroes Story without any notable problems. However, during the Babylon Story, upon trying to load the level "White Cave" (I think Jet is the playable character here) the game just crashes with this error message:
Code: Invalid read from 0x81800568, PC = 0x805721a0 Upon clicking OK it just continues to show up, seemingly infinitely. Upon clicking ignore, the game stutters for a little bit, then dolphin crashes. I am unable to upload the log file to the forum, as it exceeds the size limit, so I have uploaded it to Google Drive instead. Here is the log file. Furthermore, I have verified that my ROM is a good dump, and it has been compressed to RVZ. If I am posting in the wrong thread, please let me know. Any help will be appreciated. Thank You! 10-02-2020, 03:28 AM

It was the cause of the crash in White Cave for me. Disable it. Use the Widescreen Hack option if you really want widescreen. It's not as good as the code, but no crashing. 10-03-2020, 09:38 PM

I hope this helps other users as well. 01-02-2021, 03:20 AM
Hi, I just tried running Sonic Riders on 5.0-13414, and the game just freezes before the opening cutscene. It's just stuck on the Sega/Sonic Team screen indefinitely. I also tried a version that skips the opening and goes straight to the main menu, but the game freezes again after pressing on Normal Race when trying to load the in-game video with gameplay footage (it ends up giving an "invalid read" panic handler). I've talked to other users on the current version and they don't appear to have this problem (apparently they were all on Windows). Is this just a MacOS issue, or is there any kind of workaround for this?
EDIT: I tested this on older dev versions. It appears that this issue first appears on build 5.0-13323. Builds 5.0-13313 and before work fine. 01-02-2021, 01:50 PM

Interestingly enough, with newer Dolphin builds it seems, I get a dual view of stages where any sort of distortion effect using the EFB, which means Sand Ruins and Egg Factory are affected in places where there are these kind of effects.
I get this error with the old gecko code, and the new Gecko code that seems to have been added to the Dolphin wiki(although the new one at least works in every stage). Image link: https://slow.pics/c/3SHucS0i |
