It still does the flickering and I didn't have the game up when I turned XFB on.

I started Dolphin 4.0.2 x64 - the first in-game menu I get flickers like hell! I checked my config, XFB is set to Virtual as recommened but still flickering. By chance I think I pressed something and the flickering stopped :/ Turns out it was to do with refresh rate. Choosing 60Hz allows the game to perform fine, 50Hz = constant flickering Problem solved for me; whether the same applies for you - you'll have to see

Strange... Maybe a fluke from my side then. What version are you using? I do recall downloading the latest revision and testing. I still got the flickers so went back to 4.0.2 where it then worked after what I said.
Maybe downloading + launching in a newer revision updated the game ini? I aren't sure - it's worth a try though. I'm not certain how I fixed it - it just worked

I have 4.0-2069 x64.
Edit: I downloaded the latest version to make sure, and I still get the flickering. 07-12-2014, 11:53 PM
Seems like it may just be a fluke then - nevertheless, I'll look into it to see if I've done something, inadvertently or not.

BTW, I'm playing the NTSC version. Maybe that's why I still get the flickers.
