I would prefer the PC version myself, but some people do like the Gamecube version better. For nitpicking reasons, the Gamecube version has some special water effects left out of the PC version. The water flows better and smoother with multiple layers. Also, when underwater, the water has a ripple effect which bends and distorts even the characters. However, the PC version can achieve perfect framerates unlike the Gamecube version, and i suppose higher resolutions. I have found that the controls are better on the Gamecube version, even with a gamepad with analog. Even on keyboard though, they're more responsive using Dolphin. But the PC version is not bad in the slightest. I'd take it as it's only missing a couple of minor things. Might even be possible to hack those effects back in, the sonic hacking community already have a level editor for the PC version. 04-09-2010, 06:47 AM
yeah and the GC version has multiplayer (2 player actually)
I have actually found a bug in Sonic Adventure DX with the subtitles. The left side of the place, where the subtitles are shown gets repeated.
For example, let's say that Tails tells Sonic something. Those subtitles appear first: "Thanks for rescuing me Sonic, and look what I found, a Chaos Emerald!" (You press the A button and the next subtitles appear now) If he should say "I found it on my way", it appears like this: "Thanks for re n my way and look what " This is what I mean that half of the subtitles are repeated and in that position I read the first ones again and again. Actually, even though English isn't my mother language, I understand by listening, but think about someone who finds it easier to read that listen, or the game runs at slow speed and the sound quality isn't good because of it. I played it in the 3.0-683 build with all the suggested settings, except for setting the audio to LLE, instead of HLE, which is related to sound and not video. I even tried the EFB on RAM, together with Real XFB, but nothing changed... 06-03-2012, 03:46 AM
Did you try to adjust the accuracy of the Safe Texture Cache? Set it to the middle or to "Safe"
I updated my Dolphin exe to the 688 build and it was fixed with any settings I tried. Even by ignoring format modifications, setting EFB to Texture and without XFB. Fast mipmaps, OpenCL texture decoder and OpenMP texture decoder are all enabled, but I don't know if one of these makes the difference when displaying the subtitles...

I have a problem with the sound. Sometimes when doing a spindash, etc the sound will never stop, even after going to the main menu. Causing me to have to close the entire game, and restart again to stop the damn sound. And then sometimes it will play a long string of random sounds, now this is not annoying as it only lasts a few seconds, but when it plays like 2 sounds from a random part of the game, and won't stop, I get annoyed. Tell me how to end this...PLEASE!

Honestly, it would be easier to play the PC or Dreamcast version if people are having problems running the game on Dolphin..
