If you can deal with menus looking all glitchy (and some menus being excessively dark, like the one you pull up when controlling an airship in the overworld) EFB to Texture is doable (I played the whole game like that :p). You might also want to try OpenGL over D3D11 and use the very latest development revision (hint: 4.0.2 is slow as balls compared to something like 4.0-17xx). If you need to, overclock your CPU (read up on how to do it, and what precautions you need to take). Your CPU isn't the best for Dolphin, but OCed around 4.5GHz or so should be enough. Why the insane clock speed? AMD's offerings have poor single-threaded IPC, which Dolphin relies on greatly.

Oddly enough, SoA is the ONLY game that has given me problems like this. 05-29-2014, 04:22 AM
Well, just remember that each game in Dolphin is different, so the hardware requirements and necessary settings between games is going to vary. SoA actually used to be a lot more problematic in the past, or at least it took a lot of hardware power to run it without many issues.

Hey guys, anyone here have made a compilation of this game's AR codes, as in the ini itself?

I have been playing my US copy on latest Dolphin Dev and has worked amazing. Perfect emulation. I found tons of AR codes and put them in the ini and they all are "detected" in the menu, I enabled cheats in the menu and checked off what I wanted, but for some reason nothing applies. =( Were you able to find any working AR codes? There are tons from code junkies etc. EDIT: I was actually able to make it work by manually decrypting them from that gencrypt software, for some reason just pasting them in for Dolphin didn't work. So making an ini should be simple now.

Guys I need some help. I'm using Dolphin version 4.0 - 1843, and i'm trying to play my copy of SoA. I understand the PAL version which I have only runs at 25fps, I have my framelimit set to Auto and the game runs at a constant 25fps with no drops, but the game feels so laggy when turning the camera round. It's like the background items kinda ghost and shake as I turn the camera round. but when i'm in fights and the camera spins round, it does not happen, it looks nice and smooth even thought he framrate is the same...
Am I doing something wrong, or was SoA always like this and I've just forgot... 06-13-2014, 04:11 PM
The best way you could demonstrate this would be to compare this to a recording of the game from console. If you have a capture card, you could make recordings of both and compare them. I know the NTSC version runs identically to console for all intents and purposes.
