Maybe try LLE audio? It shouldn't be necessary for this game, but it's worth a shot. Also try enabling the Sync GPU or whatever it's called option (again, right-click, Properties -> GameConfig). I wouldn't try both LLE and this option at the same time though; each is pretty demanding by itself. If using LLE, remember to enable DSPLLE on Separate Thread (and possibly enable the VBeam Speed Hack). Neither of these solutions may run fullspeed, but may run better than Single-Core mode.

Truthfully, I found LLE audio made it run a bit slower. Also, I've had it freeze on me several times quickly when trying to play, but it seemed to be a result of not having Idle Skipping enabled. So, my advice is try enabling that if you don't have it enabled.

For me sync gpu works without crashes with the game, then again the game runs faster and not slower than normal speed, perhaps that makes a difference. It is also quite faster than single core.

Update on the menu glitch: It also happens when selecting ship-specific items like a Captain's Stripe or a Repair Kit, simply hovering over them causes the glitch.

Looks like a texture cache issue to me.

@delroth: Just tried disabling "enable cache" for the EFB thing, having it EFB to RAM, and it was still happening.

What delroth meant was to put the texture cache slider all the way over on safe. You don't need EFB2Ram on for it to take effect.
Just tested it with Dolphin 4.0.2, it happens with DirectX11, but not with Directx9.
EDIT: However, the red/green things are back with DX9 EDIT2: Apparently those were because I had the custom projection hack enabled. |
