I wonder , does this game uses the same deferred shading technology that the Xbox version uses?
If so , how and if Dolphin emulates it? 12-24-2021, 06:17 AM
Dolphin ( 5.0 15682 ) does not display the banner logo of SHREK XL (Disc 1, Revision 0) (Shrek Extra Large) (CRC32: 001d987b , MD5: 75a08b381f0a6bf815adeb69883c3c54 , SHA-1: 8558b5307f4feb812d0592edd45cede0b3e5380e) correctly in the list of games.

What does it show? I believe it should be the same as the save file icon. 12-24-2021, 11:30 AM
Yeah, the US version shows for me, but not EU, which shows the no banner X image.

As you can see here, my freshly dumped (with the help of CleanRip & verified via redump.org) Shrek XL GameCube DVD has no logo. ![]() 2.) Furthermore, it would be great if Dolphin developers could add support for alpha channel (transparency) information while displaying the banner logos in the game list and while exporting a banner logo to a png file. (PNG files are able to store alpha channel information). Currently, in dolphin emu the transparency information is simply interpreted as black. 3.) The next thing is, if dolphin could not detect a "opening.bnr" inside a GameCube disc image file, then the next available .bnr file should be used instead. If there are more than one .bnr file inside a GameCube disc image file then inside the file property window the user should have the capability/possibility to choose a .bnr file via drop down menu for defining which .bnr file should be used by dolphin emu for getting the GameCube disc information (banner logo, manufacturer, ID, etc...). Some examples of additional .bnr files or non-default "opening.bnr" file names inside GameCube disc image files: Finding Nemo (EUR): opening1.bnr Beyond Good and Evil(EUR): save.bnr Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: eu_bnr.bnr, us_bnr.bnr Narnia (GameCube ID: GLVD4Q) German release: opening.bnr.FR opening.bnr.UK Aging Test For Production. try59 (Disc 1, Revision 7) (GameCube ID 102E01) (google: "e99720d85cef42615adbbf1a6e943a41" or: "gamecube aging disc"): bye-opening.bnr 4.) For printouts / documentation or for reasons of keeping the overview (of owned Wii / GameCube disc images) or for reasons of keeping a decent order, it would be great, if Dolphin developers could add a feature to export the current view of the list to a .html or .xls file - maybe in this way: ![]() |
