Help the latest versions of Dolphin keeps on crashing with this game. I've beaten this game before on an earlier build but the newest builds keep crashing.

Can't really do much when you don't say which build was working, and which one is broken. Bisecting down to the exact build that changed the behavior makes it easier for everyone.

I'm not bisecting anything unless the last story hle bug is fixed. I bisected that a couple months ago and the issue still isn't even on the issue tracker. I'm sure you're aware of it too since you said you just aquired the last story.

And since you went on all the trouble to bisect it why didn't you make an issue report? Did you expect the issue report to appear out of nowhere?

Listen, if you're not going to figure out what build is causing the problem, then whatever. I just won't care about the issue.

I'll try to put this more tactfully. An issue report with a bisect doesn't guarantee an instant fix for a bug. What it does guarantee is that when a developer has time to look into it, they can actually know what code caused the problem and have a decent head start. When you refuse to do that, then you're shooting yourself in the foot, and causing more work if one of the developers do try to fix it.

About your Last Story bug: You never created an issue report about it, but I did notify booto. When he has time to look into it, I'm sure he will. The change you mentioned fixed other games, so it's not as simple as "revert" and everything is happy. There are more complicated bugs that require actual research and hardware testing. You did the work on narrowing down the build, and that helps. If you're not willing to help, then you'll have to wait for someone else to put out the work for the first step. That's all there is to it.

Pretty much this, and before accusing others of laziness on solving something, reflect upon yourself about how much "not lazy" you were and are. Are you the raw model of no laziness? Then go ahead and accuse if you wish, you will even have my support. Since your annoyment stems from your own laziness though drop it there. You were annoyed that noone else made an issue report in your place. You were the one that found it and bisected it, noone else was obliged to do it in your place.

to get back on subject, only running the game with D3D causes the crashing, OpenGL seems unaffected.
