Audio should be fixed in 4.0 and newer builds (it was fixed some time ago, but anything older than 4.0 is not officially supported). Try running it in 4.0 first. If you still encounter audio issues, use LLE audio (Click the DSP button, select LLE Recompiler) and check DSPLLE on Seperate Thread. Your system should be able to handle LLE audio (it's quite CPU intensive) without slowing down.

Hhmm.. Thanks I'll try that. I've had 4.0 on my system for a quite a while, dunno why I haven't tried it yet.

Hi guys,
I'm experiencing the rain/thunder slowdowns. I sniffed around and found no solution (or even suggestions), but others have experienced it as well so I imagine there's one out there. I'm not familiar with all the GFX tune-ups (I'm rather new to Dolphin, indeed), and I'm running the game on default settings: native res & no AA. I've tried using DX9 rather than DX11, yet that yielded no improvement. The game runs fine, otherwise (it's the original one, not the Wii port). I'm using the latest 4.0.1 Dolphin (tried 4.0 as well) and my rig is: Operating System: win7 x64 Processor/CPU: Intel i7-2600 @ 3.4 Video Card/GPU: Nvidia GTX-570 Memory/RAM: 16 10-31-2013, 03:58 AM
My rig has slow downs as well in the rain. I couldnt find any combination of settings (native res with no AA and EFB to Texture using HLE) that would eliminate it completely. To this day I still dont know if it is GPU or CPU limited because none of my tests on settings seemed to have any effect.

Most people underestimate this graphic backend and use DX9 or DX11 instead, but OpenGL is a very good alternative of DX11, maybe even better, thx devs ^^ Anyway, I'm having some troubles with Biohazard 4, the japanese version of this game (better for speedrunning ^^). No matter how I change my settings, 95% of the time, the game crashes when I want to start a new game, just when Dolphin tries to load the video. I found a safe setting to pass through this issue, but it's "VBeam Speed Hack" and I don't know why, it causes the game to run slower and loading times take more time. Any idea to solve this problem?

You are going to want to post in that game's forum.
It needs to be noted that only folks with Nvidia GPU's should use the Vertex Streaming Hack.

Oh sorry I didn't know that the Vertex Streaming Hack was only for NVidia users. I never had a AMD card.
Well actualy Biohazard 4 IS Resident Evil 4 name in japan, it's the same game. There is no special thread for Biohazard 4 in this forum. edit : nevermind, new game works fine now on my 4.0.1 for no particular reason... I guess my computer was tired.

revision 4.0-511 broke the water effects when you walk on water. Instead of seeing water ripples from running, there's just a black spot on the lower screen where your feet touches the water.
