Do you know what version of Dolphin you are using in the video?

Hi all!

I'm currently investigating if there is a possibility to play the game in german without having grey/green blood , or if that doesn't work, to play it on english setting with german subtitles/files.
I've seen the HD texture pack has the files/diaries etc improved, so at least this can be done with custom textures. But the subtitles of spoken text or investigating items ..... could be difficult right?

By now I've tried several things:
- Decompiled the Image , swapped claire.rel with claire_g.rel
- Recompiled
- Set the Emulator to english
Got: English Boot Menu ; German Submenu ; German Game with Grey/Green Blood and German Text)

Next step was interchanging the folders common\datp with datg
- This seems to be the Main Menu Localization
- No luck either Sad

Looks like I have to dig deeper or it is just not possible.

Currently my PC is doing a binary file comparison (which is already taking half an hour) between the claire.rel and claire_g.rel file as I think this single file has everything what makes the game (not the menu) an english or german localization. So maybe there is some way to find what is text or what is the "violence control switch". I was thinking about an in depth comparison of Eng/Fra/Spa/Ita/Ger versions. I'd say all versions except the german must have one thing in common (Violence : On) while everything else language wise should be differrent.

Maybe someone has other ideas or went down that road Smile

Is it just here or this game has sound issues? Right from the start the soundtrack is garbled, while you can hear more of the zombies (before Claire/Leon enter the store).

Yes, there are sound issues in this game if you're using recent development builds. But it should be working in 5.0 (because it was released before we removed a hack that was making the audio work properly).

Just want to confirm that the hack suggested on the page for the audio issue, https://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/issues/9840 , does indeed seem to fix this game. However, it also completely breaks P.N.03 (won't boot), so a build with that change applied universally might not be best for general purpose use.

Hi, how do I apply this hack please? I have no experience compiling builds unfortunately Sad Alternatively do you have a build already compiled that you could share please?

Here's the build that I'm using with the hack as an ini option: [removed]

To get it to work, add the line "RE2DSPHack = True" (without quote marks) under the core section of Resident Evil 2 or 3's default config (right click game. select properties, select view default config).

You need to also link to the source code of your custom version if you want to link to binaries of it. I have removed the link for now.

Does the entire source need to be posted or would a .patch file suffice? It's a ~120MB file vs a 7KB one.
