Does anybody know of an AR/G/GS code that will shut off the flippin' treasure alert noise? After some investigating, I have found nothing. Some of the codes I found are completely useless, like enormous pikmin, or all of your pikmin automatically having leaves. Please, somebody, restore my sanity. Thank you.

Super bump.

I made a patch to make this NTSC-U version (GPVE01) of the game run in 60 fps. I tested this patch and everything seems to run fine, even menus and 2P. To use, just create a memory patch and fill it with these values:

$60fps (ntscU)
0x8014B778:dword:0x38800001
0x8021C674:dword:0x38800001
0x8021CF64:dword:0x38800001
0x8044CD88:dword:0x38800001

I can easily port this to other versions as well. Enjoy!

Wow, great! I'd like this for the Wii version ^_^
But doesn't run the music at double speed with this?
Intel i5-4690k (Devil's Canyon) @ 3.5 GHz (+Scythe Mugen) / Gainward GTX 1070 Phoenix (OC'd) / ASUS Z97 PRO GAMER / 16GB G.Skill DDR3-2400 CL10 TridentX / X-Fi XtremeMusic / Win10 Pro 64bit / Dell S2716DG Monitor / 3x original WiiMote+MotionPlus+Nunchuk

So last night I started playing Pikmin 2 and everything was going fine. Today, I start up the game and Dolphin immediately crashes. I didn't change a thing, my computer didn't even turn off or go to sleep. I tried restarting Dolphin, restarting my computer, and reinstalling the game itself. Any idea what could be the problem?

I am having the exact same problem. Didn't change a thing and the game was working flawlessly the other night. Played for about two hours without issue. Last night I went to play and now it crashes Dolphin immediately upon launch. Totally baffled as to what the issue could be and I can't seem to find a solution online either.

Did you ever find a solution? Or has anyone else encountered a problem like this before or know what could potentially be causing this issue? I'm reluctant to try installing a different version of Dolphin (using 5.0 now), especially since I know it was working fine before. I'd be curious to know what the specific issue is as well in the event of it occurring again in the future.

Edit: So it appears that this problem is tied to the OpenGL backend. When using Direct3D I can get the game to run. It's only when using the OpenGL backend that causes Dolphin to crash on launch of the game. Does anyone know if this is a known or common problem?

That's impossible, because 5.0 hasn't been released yet. You're probably using one of the 5.0-rc builds, which have some large differences to the upcoming 5.0 release. Please include the correct version number when reporting problems.

My mistake. You are correct.

Can anyone tell me why both yellow and blue Pikmin are showing up as green and a slightly darker green? I've googled and googled and tried every setting and I can't seem to find anyone else who has had this problem.

I haven't heard of that problem before either. Your profile says you're using Ishiiruka - does this happen in the latest development version of official Dolphin too?
