I was having the same problem, and what I did was to disable the Boundix Box Calculation, and after that I had no more problems.

There's a regression introduced by the texcache-preload branch merge which causes a memory corruption to freeze the game sometimes; disabling BBox calculation just happens to "fix" the issue by accident (it works surprisingly reliably though).

I never had this problem, not even once. Maybe it's because of the constant enhancement of the emulator. I only have problems with the sound (BGM is playing, but when I get into battle, the Battle-BGM doesn't play, or generally when BGM-tracks change from place to place, sometimes the game misses the next music) and some minor ones with the graphics, especially when Paper-tricks happen after pressing switches and etc.

However, there's a new graphic issue that didn't use to exist before. All Punies (Found in Chapter 2) are not displayed correctly, except for Punio, his sister, the elder and the obese one. I use the 3.0-692 build and it still exists.

Related to the Punies glitching out, when I am playing they often vanish without a trace, though I can regain them through constant backtracking to and from the previous room. When I do this, they mysteriously reappear, as if put there by the hand of God.
I'd also like to note that this makes getting all 101 Punies to the proper place EXTREMELY hard. Game-breakingly hard.

EDIT: It is possible to beat this area, as long as you have the patience to go back and forth just to reclaim the Punies.

To pass the Pianta/Toad section just make sure "Skip EBF Access from CPU" is unchecked, "Fast Mipmaps" is checked, "Cache Display Lists" is unchecked". It worked for me (I just messed with the settings until it worked)

AGH, I got it to work THAT ONE TIME, but I forgot to save and now I can't get it working again.

im having an issue on chapter 5 interlude, everytime i finish the glass after 30secs it does'nt change to green am i doing something wrong, im going check again see if im doing right frist then ill post back if it work or not

Either having a stop watch or counting one-one-thousand, Two-one-thousand works. But, if the game is slow, it could be longer.
I have my Framelimit at 120
I'm also using the JITIL engine
I hope this helps you out.

Hello any1 know how to run this game at normal speed?
mine is running too fast, and i already tried all frame skip and audio throttle combinations, but still it's running too fast...
I've noticed that if i didn't skip BIOS, it will run too fast. But when i skip BIOS, it will somehow run at normal speed...
I want to try somehow to run this game with BIOS, is there any way to fix this?
