I am experiencing this issue, crashing on the screen with the boat. Tried on the most recent Beta and Dev releases. Hardware is a Vega 64 and i7 8700k.

I also have this issue with an i7 and AMD Radeon R9 Fury. Tried disabling dual core and enabling sync GPU like other people said but it still crashes. Always get constant cannot read and cannot write errors, if I hit OK they keep popping up and if I hit ignore it just locks up on a black screen. Always right after that boat and intro scene. Sick of seeing the mail scene over and over trying to get this to work so please help!

Just had this issue and fixed it, just posted a reply earlier that hasn't been approved yet. How I fixed it is I went to Options>Graphics Settings>Backend>Direct3D 12. Maybe you will need a different backend but try it out. Also had dual core disabled as was recommended by many posts.

Im playing on a 2019 macbook air and its been running fine until I have to use vivian’s ability which is unbearably slow. This makes the story progression impossible due to timed spike traps that need to be crossed using her ability. Is there any way to fix this?

Just updated to Dolphin 5.0-12080 and I no longer can load in save states, will include picture of the error given.

I started using the ss as I was getting a message when saving stating that the original memory card was no longer in the system. Anyone ever had these errors before?

Are you trying to load a savestate from an older version? They generally aren't compatible and not a good idea anyway.

Ah, yep, it looks like the savestate code was updated without updating the savestate version number. So Dolphin is giving you some cryptic error message instead of properly letting you that you can't load the savestate because it's from an incompatible version of Dolphin. This is one of the reasons you shouldn't rely on savestates as the only way of saving your progress. (In fact, your problem with the original memory card no longer being in the system was most likely caused by the use of savestates.)

Yup, thats the problem. Where are the savestates stored? I'd like to erase them and Ill start saving to memory card from now on.
