Hello, Im getting game freezing at Riverside Station after leaving the train. I can speak to the toad to get the key to the station but when i open the door it crashes dolphin.
Also the framerate in this portion of the game and on the train at night dips to below 30. Ive tried messing with all the settings including bounding box, dual core, and efb to textures but nothing seems to work. The game otherwise has been running smoothly throughout with very little slowdown. specs AMD rx 560 gpu ryzen 1400 quad cpu dolphin 5.0 I have a picture. Basically there is a yellow overlay type visual glitch that is the culprit of the slowdown. 08-11-2019, 06:14 AM
Use latest dev build. Does that still happen?
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.
Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

Hi, How come when I talk to merluvlee on the east side of Rougeport undergrounds main square, my game crashes and dolphin shuts down.
for example this only happens when I ask her for help finding the shine sprites. I'm missing one more and don't know where it is. anyone know a way to fix this. I heard switching to openGL works, but there is no adapter to choose from when picking OpenGL. I am new to dolphin so sorry if I understand how anything really works here. thank you! 08-18-2019, 05:57 PM

^ Related to this bug, but different hardware, so I'd just prefer to ask here. Same bug occurs with AMD Radeon Vega 8 Graphics and AMD Ryzen 5 2500U Processor on Windows 10 (64-bit) with 8 GB RAM using Dolphin Version 5.0-10758 Using OpenGL, it happens with or without using the fix mentioned. Using Direct 3D 11, it does not occur, but the graphical glitches are majorly inhibiting to the experience. After the intro sequence (arriving at the port for the first time) I saved a state and switched back to OpenGL. The game seemingly runs fine from here on out, except a bug I got which would not allow me to use the game's save blocks (resulting in me having to use save states). 09-21-2019, 07:49 AM
I'm using Vulkan with the widescreen gecko code and it works great, except for when I enter the menu it shrinks back to 4:3 and on the side I still see the game world.

That's actually because of the broken aspect ratio detection. Change it from "Auto" in graphic settings to force 16:9.

I just tried it in 4:3 and it still shrinks a bit and shows those blue bars on the side. When I disable the gecko wide screen hack only then is the pause screen fixed. The wiki says that regular wide screen causes clipping but has it been fixed or should I just use the gecko code and ignore the pause issue?
