Alright, I might try the older Dolphin version. Thanks for your help, guys!

Sorry if this is a known problem, but I have been having problems with transitions between scenes. In every scene transition I get a lot of weird pop-ups, like this: https://gfycat.com/CircularZanyKoi
I know that the wiki mentions disabling EFB Copies to Texture Only, but on or off this didn't seem to change anything.
Edit: Ignore me. Forgot I put on cheats last night, causing clipping issues.

You could try Synchronize GPU thread as an alternative if Single-Core is too slow. 09-05-2016, 02:35 PM
I'm using 5.0. I've been having an issue with Creepy Steeple. When I get into the house and push the star statue inside, the game crashes once Mario falls into the hole under it. Instead of giving an error or freezing Dolphin, it gives a black screen and the infamous Wii crash buzz (which I didn't even know Dolphin could do). I've only found one other person having the issue, and someone responded to that and said to enable MMU. Doing so did no change. At this point, I have no idea what to do.

I'm using 5.0-595 and I'm having issues with FPS using Direct3D 11 (I'm a NVIDIA user), same thing happens with the stable 5.0 build so I tried OpenGL but it doesn't seem to have Bounding Box regardless of checking / unchecking the option. Since OpenGL is much faster in my case I'd like to use it but Paper Mario relies on that option.
A̶n̶y̶ ̶s̶o̶l̶u̶t̶i̶o̶n̶s̶?̶ I've fixed it by updating NVIDIA drivers. 09-17-2016, 11:26 AM
So I'm currently having an issue with the game where it freezes as soon as the first text box shows up after the prologue screen. The boat goes off screen, it goes white, I hear snoring, text box pops up, and it freezes. I have successfully played TTYD in the past, but I don't remember what version of Dolphin I was using. I even tried using 4.0, and that resulted in a crash/freeze at the same spot.
I'm running the game on an AMD FX-6350, Radeon HD 7850 2GB, and 16GB of RAM. edit: After messing with settings, it now throws an error about Unknown Pointers. 09-24-2016, 12:35 AM
Have you verified that your dump of the game is a good dump by checking the md5 against a know good copy? (Aka google paper Mario ttyd md5)

I've got an issue that from my somewhat in-depth search, noone else seems to be having.
After beating Hooktail and going through the chapter end cut-scenes, on the road out of Petalburg, I seem unable to receive the first email from peach. The theme starts playing, my partner comments about me shaking, and then I'm stuck listening to the tune with an exclamation point over Mario's head, but nothing else happens. I can't do ANYTHING but stand there. From what I've read and my recollection of the game, it should open automatically, but it doesn't. Anyone else encounter this, and is there a way to fix it besides rebooting everything, playing up to that point and hoping it doesn't happen again? 09-30-2016, 03:47 AM
Check the MD5 of your ISO, to make sure you're not getting this due a bad dump...
