Downloaded the latest version. Immediately the graphics are more messed up. The companion characters textures are flickering where as they werent before.
Its also 6 hours of lost effort so im having a hard time coming to terms redoing progress to a game that was otherwise working fine 14 hours in. So long story short, I'd like to post the MD5 for you to see if anythings wrong there. can you explain really quick how to do that? 05-31-2016, 08:25 AM
Recent crash just gave me this message.
"Backpatch - failed to dissassemble MOV instruction Error encountered accessing emulated address 844c2860. Culprit instruction: movd xmm8, dword ptr ds: [rbx+rax] at 0x10c82873" 05-31-2016, 05:04 PM

Couldn't you carry your progress across? Regular save files are supposed to work cross-version automatically. Right-click on the game in Dolphin's game list, select Properties, and go to the Info tab. Click on the button that says Compute. 06-02-2016, 09:29 AM
Slight issue with the move where mario goes thin. a green outline of mario or his partner fills up the screen.

Enable Bounding Box to fix that.

So, I try to save and it says that "The game cannot be saved. The Memory Card in slot A is not the original memory card. Your progress could not be saved" and so now I'm stumped. Is there a workaround for this? I don't think I ever changed memory cards. I am playing this on a new computer and I started on another computer. Could that be the problem? I wanna update to Dolphin 5 but I'm afraid of losing my savestates.

Using savestates can lead to problems like that. The best way to avoid it is to not rely on savestates in the first place. 06-25-2016, 02:58 AM

So I think on the newest Dolphin 5.0 I've encountered a gambreaking glitch for Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.
In Chapter 3, there is a section where you need to eavesdrop a conversation between Jolene and Grubba. You are in the room above and have to listen through a small hole in the ground. A "!" prompt appears that triggers a transition. Unfortunately, the transition just leads to a pitch black screen and nothing happens. I've tried resetting the emulator several times now and nothing happens. I've searched online quite a bit on this and haven't seen this encountered anywhere, so I'm wondering if it's a 5.0 only glitch. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance. |
