Hi it's me again!

I have an idea that could fix that problem with incorrectly displayed punies .. I'm considering of making some HD-textures for the game, so I dumped the textures .. The punies (the ones that are incorrectly displayed) get dumped in their full animation .. Also the distorted parts of the animation are dumped, so I thought maybe if you replace the distorted ones with the ones which are decent and then load the custom textures, shouldn't this fix the problem?

That sounds like it might work. I don't have this game dumped yet, but I think it would be worthwhile trying. The Punies' textures probably aren't being emulated correctly in Dolphin, but if Dolphin overrides the texture data manually, I don't see how it wouldn't work, unless of course it's not the actual texture data that's the problem. Give it a shot and let us know.

I tried my best, they are still a little shaky, but much better than this pixel-salat we got before ..
It was hard to figure out which parts of the animation were broken .. It turns out that the part of the animation-loop which was displayed distorted is exactly the half of the correctly displayed animation-loop and also backwards .. So I had to take every second frame of the correctly part and reverse it .. But I must have done a mistake I assume, because of the shaky thing .. Anyway I did my best for you guys, until it's fixed by the devs or anyone else, so enjoy Smile

Hey slax65, that's pretty awesome, I'm glad to see it worked. Don't worry about the shaking, it's very minor in my opinion. It's better than any solution so far, so that's pretty good (textures are still broken even under the software renderer iirc). Good job Smile

New user here!!! having an issue with paper mario thousand year door..... sometimes when we go into a pipe (in the sewers) the game crashes... window with dolphin.exe crashed appears. I am using a save state to return to the pipe and then entering the pipe, always crashes... there wasnt an ingame save in the sewers before the blooper.

will this same pipe crash occur if i redo the sewer part and go into the pipe again??? i have tried turning on/off duale, lock to thread, changing graphics, nothing has helped...

I assume its a problem with the save state file??? is this right and if i redo the sewer it wont happen again right???

help!
P.S. I added my stats to my profile, do I need to post them here too???

Try using an in-game save instead. Even if it's a while before you head into the sewers, use your last in-game save and see if it crashes there. Save states are usually stable, but there is still the possibility that they'll crash Dolphin. If there is something wrong with the save state when it was created, loading it will only reproduce the issues when you start playing. Additionally, you should try using the latest Dolphin revision if you still get crashes with an in-game save. It sounds like you're using 3.5, but you can find the latest revisions here: https://dolphin-emu.org/download/

Also, you don't have to post your hardware specs here. It's enough if they're in your profile.

Question
Any idea why this happens ? Every time on the same scene where the shadow queen tries to devour the crowd it just gets stuck looping (no ctd or freeze). Dolphin is 4.0-136. I have made it trough this scene only once (tried 20-30 times) and it crashed to desktop after mario pulled out the stars and scene changed..

Uh, hello.
New one here.

So, can anyone give me a save when Mario is in chapter 5? I kinda messed it up because I picked up the missing crank and used it too early and the game can't move on.
Any help would be appreciated.
