I'm looking to come up with a graphics guide for TTYD on an Intel Laptop (specs in signature)

My current settings allowed for smooth performance until there were "large" scenes (such as the Glitz Pit and the Great Tree). I knew - and still know - nothing about configuring Dolphin's graphics, properties, etc. to my PC's liking. As of recently, my game's performance drooped to below 100% through overall gameplay without me changing any settings, and I have no clue why. I'll leave pics of My current Dolphin settings below to look at. Appreciate the help.

I got the same "Unknown pointer" thing when I encountered the Gold Fuzzy in the Shwonk fortress. It refused to go away when I was trying to talk to the thing and get to the boss battle!

But I managed to get through it by holding the enter key down long enough to click on the game and hit the A button on my controller! Was tedious as crap though.

Yes, BBox was/is enabled.
I tried both OpenGL and Direct3D. Got the same result.
"Activate Dual Core" was/is unchecked.
"Store EFB Copies to Texture Only" was/is off.
I currently have Dolphin 5.0.

My specs are in my profile, but I'll list them here too. Just in case.

Processor/CPU: AMD Athlon 2x4.
Video Card/GPU: Evga G-force GTX 660 SC.
Memory/RAM: Corsair/12 gigs.

I'm encountering that same error in the same location. I've tried all the options you have to no avail.

CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-400HQ CPU @ 2.40GHz, 2401 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
GPU: Nvidia 770m
12GB RAM

Couldn't you just disable panic handlers? That stops warnings like that from showing up. The downside is if one of those errors causes dolphin to crash it will crash with no explanation.

I'm having an issue where the game crashes at the point where you go to the second pipe inside of the tree where the Punies live. Can anyone help?

If you're using Direct3D 11 or 12, try OpenGL. It tends to crash less in this game. Smile

I'm having a problem where the game crashes on the intro of the game. Just after the boat goes over the horizon, the curtains show up with the spinning coin, probably to say "chapter 1" if i remember correctly. Then the game crashes.

I'm guessing this is because I'm using a mac, as the wiki says "Additionally, OS X cannot be used, because no GPU drivers for OS X support the required features as of July 2016." What am I supposed to do?

I really miss this game, and all the other games like wind waker just lag like crazy. :((

Thank you. This solved the issue for me. The fight happened without issue.

I'm having similar trouble with the game. I've reached chapter 6 on the Excess Express and as soon as I give up the autograph and things switch to night, I take the request to find blankets and enter the dining car. With notifications enabled I get a barrage of error messages of 'Unknown Pointer' and without it the whole thing slows to a crawl. With them off I can make it through and things return to normal speed once I get to the car with cabin 4 and get the request for the diary, but after going back through the still slow dining car things freeze up.

I've tried it on D3D 11 and D3D 12 as well as OpenGL and it keeps happening. I don't have any enhancements on and nothing for the EFB functions (though i have tried various combos and haven't found anything workable yet). I tried upping the Emulation State to Perfect and that got me a little further but the game still slowed going through the dining car and crashed a short time later.
