Hello.

I'm still having issues with my game Sad!

https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-gc-paper-mario-the-thousand-year-door?pid=405854#pid405854

^ posted earlier based on my Laptop specs

Transferred the save state/save file and tried it on my desktop gaming PC - having the same issues as well.

Specs for my desktop include...

Windows 7 Home Edition Service Pack 1 (64 bit)
Radeon 7850 HD 2GB OC
AMD Athlon II X4 630 processor 2.80 ghz
6 GB RAM

Oh just fyi....I did use the latest emulator, one that came out 20 hours ago -__-.

Please, you're just making things worse... This is not a game help question. The reason that the gate won't open is that bounding box emulation isn't working, probably because of the GPU (or the GPU driver?)

There has to be a way to resolve this issue.....both my desktop and laptop are different , one of them should at least allow me to get the past the part where I transition from one train cart to the next in chapter 6 ~__~

Have you checked the MD5 of the game's ISO? If there's an error in the ISO, you might not be able to get past the problem unless you redump the game.

I do apologize if I sound like a noob but what is the best way to check the MD5? Program wise I mean.

Right-click on the game in Dolphin and open the properties. Go to the Info tab and press the Compute button. This works on recent development builds of Dolphin, but not on 4.0.2.

That one doesn't seem to be recognized anywhere, so there's probably something wrong with your ISO. Please redump the game.

I'm away from my gaming computer with Dolphin right now, but I set up PMTYD last night and played around with success. I had a few problems that I was able to find some answers for here that I'll try later, but there was one small issue that I couldn't really search for as I didn't know what to call it.

When standing still, the issue doesn't occur, but when moving around so that the scene scrolls as Mario moves and such, a blurry and jittery line/bar/artifact appears across the screen that seems to move up and down as I move. It's not game-breaking, but it's distracting. It kind of reminds me of like an old TV that had lines or scanlines or something moving up/down the screen, but I dunno if that's a helpful description or not...

I'm gonna try and get some screenshots and some configs later at home, but in the meantime, does this issue sound familiar to anyone? I'm using almost all of the recommended configs for this game, but I'm using D3D instead of OGL, I have custom textures loaded, I have the Widescreen AR code set, and I think that's about it. The jitter thing appears on OGL as well though, and it appeared with or without custom textures and widescreen hack, etc. Basically it has appeared in every instance I've tried to play the game. Could be my hardware then: i5-3570k, GTX 970

Try enabling v-sync.
