"Skip EFB Access", "Disable Bounding Box" and "Store EFB Copies to Texture Only" must be unchecked otherwise you'll get all kinds of weirdness during some graphical effects of this game.

I am having the same problem as 13loodDragon. I made sure all the boxes ("Skip EFB Access", "Disable Bounding Box" and "Store EFB Copies to Texture Only") are unchecked. I used 4.0-8961 and 4.0-8070. Neither have worked. My game freezes at the first "paper scrolling" event in the sewer. Any suggestions?

Am I doing anything wrong or is there a glitch which makes him disappear? I am supposed to hit the button with him while I am standing on the platform. But somehow this seems impossible. Whenever I am in a straight area it seems to work as expected.

Well, responding to myself now, odd. It's definitely an issue. I have copied over everything to my Wii and there Koops works as expected. So the current development builds can't run this game well. Is there some kind of bugtracker?

Well, quoting myself from the other thread you went off-topic:
Jhonn Wrote:I've just tested Paper Mario TTYD with 4.0-8863 and Koops is working perfectly fine, just like I remember on the console. Also, by judging how Koops is looking on your video, you probably have a bad ISO dump and that's why he's glitching. You can confirm that by computing the MD5 of your ISO and then comparing it with another source (like Redump or GameTDB), if your ISO is bad just redump it. Also, just to make sure, check if "Store EFB Copies to Texture Only", "Disable Bounding Box" and "Skip CPU EFB Access" are disabled in Graphics settings. Those options are required in Paper Mario series otherwise they'll have some weird glitches...

Then I remember you asking about what region my ISO is, it's NA (NTSC-U), and that's not an issue here, Koops is working perfectly fine. Then you said that you've redumped you game but still didn't get a good one (with an MD5 that matches with confirmed good dumps), So, yeah, I still think that those issues you're having with Koops are related to your ISO dump.

(I say that because I remember having those weird glitches on the real console too a while ago by using a backup disk I made at that time that became scratched -- don't remember if it was with Koops exactly, but most members of Mario's party were glitched somehow)

I have tried 2 different NTSC-U dumps (with different MD5s) and both show the very same glitches in Dolphin, yet they work perfectly on my Wii with DIOS MIOS.
So at least there's still gotta be an incompatibility at play. I have the European disc and a dump of that works fine in Dolphin.

I think I will just stick to that. The money those games go for these days makes buying the american edition just for validation of what might be a bug a little too pricey. Big Grin

How do you have NTSC-U dumps if you only own an European disc? Downloading games is against the forum rules.

You're using an old and unsupported build. Use the latest development versions and those issues will simply go away...

You can install 64-bit on your computer for free, 32-bit isn't coming back.

I'm at my wit's end here. I'm trying to play the game with the widescreen code and the HD texture pack, and it works beautifully...
Except in the menus, at area transitions, when entering and exiting battle, and on the title screen.
In all those areas, anything outside the 4:3 region is visible, even when the 4:3 region is hidden by a black transition screen. I've tried everything I can find with no luck.
Here's some pictures of the problem.

I should note that the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen while talking to people aren't an issue. I found the way to remove them earlier, but I turned them back on for these pictures to illustrate the effected area.

I've seen video of people playing in full screen where the HUD and transitions are stretched to cover the 16:9 area (Most notably in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7l-kFKKIb4), so I know it should be possible.

Is there any way to fix this, or should I just play in 4:3? Thanks for any help you guys can provide.
