Hi, I'm having a problem with the badge menu.  I'm right at the part where I got my first badge, anytime after it the badge equip menu keeps popping up randomly if I move around. Equipping/Unequipping all have no affect on it, I've tried changing from my version 4.0-5124-x64 (since I have an older laptop) to 4.0-8575-x64, but they both have that issue. Any ideas on how to solve it? Thanks!

This is what keeps popping up. I originally thought my start button got stuck, but it opens directly to the badge menu instead of the Mario menu.

Isn't the badge button opened when you press the d-pad in a certain direction? Check if there's something weird related to the mapping of that, or if your controller just is pressing the d-pad randomly.

I am both glad and ashamed that, that was the case. Thanks, I'm pretty sure I would not have figured that out on my own haha.

Please don't use 4.0.2 and Direct3D9. The development versions are better. Even if you have to use old builds for some reason (like not having a 64-bit CPU), you should try the other backends, because they're more accurate.

Try OpenGL or Direct3D 11, it might be slower but it will produce more correct results.

DolphinGCW: Please update your profile, or your computer. We don't support this OS (32bit) nor this GPU (dx9) any more. There is no need to provide feedback on this old builds. It will crash *often* By the way, your CPU *does* support 64 bit, so just reinstall windows...

So like you said, bounding box is the main issue behind it. The same thing happened to me but I just closed the emulator and opened it again and it worked with no problem. If you are struggling even with the Bounding Box you should try it once more. If it doesn't work close and reopen and try it again. If it doesn't work, change the option and try it a few times. I've made two games on mine so far and they both were fixed by just restarting the emulator. Hope it works for you as well.

its not working, i tried using older versions but remembered that wii u adapters dont work. I am currently using a iMac from late last year so is isnt a hardware problem, tried the newest dev builds and with the same results. I wish for this game to work because it was my childhood game :^(

Try disabling dual core in dolphin config, and try unchecking store efb copies to texture in graphics config. Not sure if either of these of these will work, but I do know they solve several issues elsewhere in this game (at the cost of performance).

Although PM:TTYD is a rather simple looking game, no dual core, efb to ram, and bounding box being required to have all proper effects makes for some heavy requirements. The elevator rides in this game will make even some of the most powerful hardware weep.

I've tried all of this, and Frankly still is just standing at the gate for me. Is there any other thing to try, or am I out of luck?
