Not sure if this is the right place, but when I do the widescreen hack for the game, it doesn't rende everythingr outside of the 4:3 aspect so someone said that it can be fixed but I don't know how, I think it's called occlusion culling but I'm not sure.

What I'm asking is can I hack a game to make it render more around the camera or charecter that I'm playing?

Yes. The necessary codes for this game are available here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Paper_Mario:_The_Thousand-Year_Door#16:9_Aspect_Ratio_Fix

Enter the right one as an AR code in the game properties, then enable it, and also make sure that Enable Cheats is on in the main configuration.

Hello im new to the dolphin emulater. I was playing Paper mario the thousand year door and i tried to play around with it and it works to a certain extend. I fight against enemies and its fine but whenever i come out of a pipe the framerate goes from 60 to around I say 34 or 35. Then a second later it resumes back to normal. Can anyone assist me in this please and thank you

I assume it might be because of the bounding box emulation. There's no way to work around that as the game requires it to function.

Ah so do I have to check mark it or not?

It doesn't really matter as bounding box emulation is forced on by the Paper Mario TTYD GameINI anyway.

So there's nothing I can do about this?

You could buy a new graphics card that supports the BB emulation.

I'm having a problem with the cutscene where Dr. Frankly removes the gate leading to the sewer. The scene will just freeze, and the music still plays, with the goomba off to the side still pacing back and forth, but no response from my controller. The scene won't move forward.
