Texture Filtering and AF do quite the number on Paper Mario graphics. They cause anywhere from strange blurring to missing stuff. I recommend turning them off, and trying again.

I must apologize for double posting (even after two weeks and one day), but I must ask about quite the strange performance dip as the game is played for longer.

I've noticed that the game progressively gets slower (just the game itself, not dolphin), and eventually becomes inconsistent in it's speed. After four hours of playing the game, the game became sluggish and inconsistent, and I couldn't even land the easiest power bounce chain ever up to so much as the first excellent. I don't mean, like, the game became choppy and such, I mean, the game is running at full speed, and it's still being slow.

Places where this is most feel-able are the plaza of Glitzville, and in the final battle of that same chapter.

Recording the game shortly after startup, and then later in the session and letting us compare it would be nice. Some games (namely Mario Sunshine) can get glitchy in long sessions even on console.

Oh, dear, that's a tough one. Will try in a few hours, when I have the time and patience to do so.

So, I just went to record it now (I know, sort of later than promised), and I found that I could reproduce it by recording with FRAPS, which locks the framerate at a max of 30. So, it seems like the game is slowing down without the usual side effects of slowing down, such as audio stuttering.

Please help, I have a MacBook Pro, 4G ram with a 2.5 ghz processor, I downloaded dolphin 4.0 and paper mario. My friend and I have the same laptop, downloaded the same version of dolphin, and have the same version of paper mario, my problem is that he can run the game with no issues however, for me, right after the game starts when the curtain is opening to say prologue, dolphin crashes. I tried downloading dev builds of dolphin, tried redownloading the game but experienced the Same problem, any suggestions?

Oh many times must it be said: Downloading games is illegal and against the rules.

In chapter 1 every time I enter hooktail castle the game blackscreens and won't load past that point and sometimes I hear a buzzing noise from the game.
I am using 4.0-2175.
The crash happens with default emulator settings and with some changes that I have tried.

Can you check the disc MD5 in the info tab of game properties and paste it here, along with the game ID?
