Edit - I saved a state right before this happens. I even tried using direct3d9 (even though the screen is black I only have to walk straight ahead for a second or 2), and the same thing happened. First a you see the arm cannon of Samus but you see maybe 3-4 more and the first is vague but the last is very vague. Anyway, I am mixed a little and DX9 works great but I can't understand why my brother's computer had such better performance, maybe his CrossFire setup helped him but I can't see my 8800GT being a bottleneck unless the emulator doesn't utilize its resources 100%. EDIT. OK, I got the screens as you wanted as maybe you have an idea of this blurry/AA broken thing. It's not existing in DX9 but in OpenGL and it's quite annoying but I can live with it as now the game works perfectly except this blurry thing and slowdown in seldom places but I don't mind them too much.

Does anyone possibly have a save state in the phazon mines that's after you go to the dynamo (whatever boss and item is in there with the question mark)? My game keeps crashing in the room right before that one leading to it and it's totally frustrating.

@Nirth
Chacker: Hmm , I just misunderstood the word "blurry", sry I´m not english... (I set off the anti spam-bot, now my real account is banned O_o) You should check this: - Native (NO!) - 2x (YES) - Fulscreen (YES) - That you have choosen the right resulution - Use XFB (NO!) - Use real XFB (NO!) I´m sure you ticked the wrong things anywhere, control your settings ! Damnit, I must have used 2x at first but at that time used no AA or changed it because the screen is as good as DX9 now and AA works splendid (16xQAA). Now I need to wait for a faster revision..

I used my save states at my work computer to see if the same thing happened, and yes, it did. Just like my D3D problem. Why would the game crash at the same exact spot like this?

Why would the game crash at the same exact spot like this? More importantly, why does D3D not work properly ? Grab another build (earlier than 5195, I'm using 5163) and extract it to a new clean folder. Then copy over only your save card, not the state (it may already be fuxxored) Make sure you have latest gfx drivers and DirectX. Update DX through web, to be sure. 03-16-2010, 07:00 AM

You can hear the sounds of the game, but the screen is totally black except for the Dolhpin yellow commands overlayed. I know I had the lastest DirectX on my home computer, but updating my graphics drivers seemed to help with the crashes I experience earlier. I will try again, as I don't know what else to do to get D3D working. I'll try an earlier build (I, too, am using 5163). The save card is "lastsaved.sav", right? And just to be clear: I can load my saved state and play as long as I want, as long as I stay out of that spot in the room. In other words, I can go back and play any other map I have access to at that point in the game without it freezing. It's just that spot. Odd. |
