I'm having a problem with strafing specifically when fighting Flaaghra. I'm just using basic keyboard controls. When I lock on with "L" I am unable to move left or right, making the fight unplayable when I'm unable to dodge the oncoming attacks. Strafing seems to work just fine outside of this boss fight. Is this a known bug of some sort?

Never mind! Total user error on my end... I was unknowingly also holding the aim button at the same time which is what prevented the strafing.

You know, I think my save file for Fusion is the problem maybe. How do I know that when I boot the GBA bios, Dolphin can 'see' my save file? The Fusion save file is stored in the same folder as the rom.
I just tried the new GBA linking method and I'm still getting 'Data Link Failed.' I really love how snappy it is to boot though! No FPS stuttering on Dolphin's end at all anymore.

I know it's been a while since this post, but I just had this same issue, and I was able to get around it, so I want to record something for posterity.

Here is how to get the Metroid Fusion link bonuses in Metroid Prime in Dolphin v5.0-16101.
To set this up, you need a completed Metroid Fusion save (Metroid icon next to the file on the main menu).
1. In Dolphin, set controller port 2 to GBA (TCP)
2. Get a GBA BIOS and point mGBA at it. Under Settings -> BIOS, make sure "used BIOS file if found" is checked, and "skip BIOS intro" is unchecked.
3. Open Metroid Fusion in mGBA and Metroid Prime in Dolphin.
4. In mGBA, choose File -> Connect to Dolphin. Select "Local Computer" and click "Connect"
5. In Metroid Prime, navigate to the connection bonuses and click through until just before it reads the GBA data. (The screen where it tells you to turn on the GBA while holding select and start)
6. In mGBA, select "Reset" and while the Gameboy logo plays, hold "Select" and "Start" until a blue GameBoy logo is on the screen. During this process, both mGBA and Dolphin will stutter a bit. This is OK.
7. Start the Data Link. Green "Nintendo" text should appear under the GameBoy logo in mGBA, then you should get the Metroid Fusion "Data Link Successful" screen.
And that's it! Now you've unlocked NES Metroid and/or the Fusion suit!
Why this process doesn't work with the integrated mGBA, I do not know, but here we are.

Having an issue with Odin Lite (Mali GPU) and Vulkan backend on latest dev builds. When loading up the map menu or save menu the screen goes fully black. If I manage to back out the menus the game continues playing. This issue does not happen with OpenGL backend.
