I'd recommend disabling the dual core option and the Defer EFB Copies to RAM option, if you haven't done so already. I think it the 1st is known to be bad for the metroid games and the 2nd is known to break random games.

If so try disabling it; that caused me crashing issues at a certain point and according to the Wiki seems to be a known issue. Alternatively, try verifying the integrity of your dump - right click on the game in your library, then go to the 'verify' tab and click the 'verify integrity' button. I've had issues with a bad dump before and re-dumping the disc fixed it. 07-09-2019, 04:05 AM
Thanks for the responses all, but I actually figured out a different kind of workaround. I transferred my save file to a different computer and fought Meta Ridley on that computer. It's not really powerful enough to run the game cleanly, but it was good enough to get through the boss fight and I was able to successfully transfer the save file back to my regular computer and finish the game. Now, I just have to deal with my MP2 crashing problem.

Hello everyone,
Fresh new member this is my first post, I tried to find the answer by myself but didn't succeed ! (obviously) Read that wiki about Metroid Prime for [GC], but I am having the PAL version with 5 languages, not the NTSC, and I am trying to make it 16/9 aspect ratio. So, the following AR code doesn't work, this is written in the tutorial. (16/9 hack option was activated in Dolphin's parameters) Code: $Widescreen Hack Fix I tried the "Gecko" one (16/9 hack option was not activated in Dolphin's parameters) Code: $16:9 Widescreen Region Free So I looked for some geeks in the internet, I found this different AR code : Code: $Metroid Prime 16:9 Doesn't work neither !! Does'nt affect anything it runs 4:3 So I am stucked and looking for any genius who knows how to use Dolphin Thank you ! PS: The emulator is so good I couldn't imagine to play GD games in HD 08-06-2019, 10:58 PM

Nice suggestion,
But with the 5.0-10772 : Same problems when I try the 3 methods that I mentionned above. 08-08-2019, 09:10 AM
I found out that I had to "Force 16/9 ratio" in the general graphic options.
With "Widescreen hack (16/9)" enabled, the following codes works for PAL region (GM8P01) : Code: $16:9 Aspect Ratio (Widescreen) [Ralf] But I can't play more than 10 seconds before the game freezes, there might be something else to enable/disable |
