So i've looked on the internet, but i can't seem to find it. I've found the AR code for the 16:9 aspect ratio fix for Wind Waker, but i can't seem to find it for Metroid Prime
Anyone here know the AR code for the 16:9 aspect ratio fix?

Regards,
maj.

Also, the "micro stuttering" comment in the metroidwiki will slowly be outdated. I'm not getting microstutters after the intromovie.

You should play it for a while. Do you use HLE or LLE?

LLE, framerate controlled by DSP. Using 4xnative resolution.

I see. I didn't have audio stuttering with LLE either. I had audio stuttering problem with HLE.

Yeah it's just that the widescreen hack is causing the game to still remove textures/objects near the edge of the screen. I think this was implemented on the cube to save resources, but when you force it to display 16:9, it also has to widen the texturearea to 16:9, i think it still thinks it's 4:3.

So, if anyone has that AR code, that'd be cool.

I asked this question in another thread. Didn't previously realise that there were dedicated threads for particular games.

You can see from the specs in my Sig that my PC is a powerful machine. The CPU could be a little better, but everything else is bang-on... and I am having a shitter of a time getting Prime to run with graphical settings greater than 2x IR with no anti-aliasing.

The reason I'm bellyaching about this is that, as I understand it, the CPU side of Dolphin should determine how well a game runs - i.e. how many frames per second, whether the audio crackles etc. - whereas the GPU will determine how pretty it looks. If I'm only able to maintain a relentless 60fps (including the scripted explosion in the Pirate Frigate) by using very modest graphical settings, this suggests to me that my GPU is bottlenecking my CPU... but my GPU is extremely bad-ass (bloody should be too, for what it cost), so why should that be bottlenecking anything?

Maybe it's that I just don't understand how Dolphin works. If anyone can offer any advice, I'd appreciate it.
CPU: Intel Core i7 4770 3.4Ghz (3.9Ghz Turbo)

GPU: 3GB NVidia GTX 780 (Superclocked)

RAM: 16GB

Dolphin: 4.0

Perhaps your gpu being too badass shifts to low power mode, try setting power managment to maximum performance in the nvidia driver settings.

I love that you have an idea, but I don't know what that means...!!!

I have great performance when running Steam games. Would these not also underperform, if my GPU wasn't set-up correctly?

Will do once I'm home, mate. Thanks.

One thing - I note that the link reads "laptop" guide. I'm not using a laptop... but will the advice still be pertinent to my situation?
