Have you tried using the latest build? You should use save states so you will have a backup when a save file corrupts.

I just beat the game last night with 95% so I'm good with this one for now. Each time I completed a major event I would save it (after a few hours), and then export the gci of my save just in case something went wrong. Had no issues with saving on 3.5. Thanks, though! On to Echos! 09-21-2013, 03:12 AM
No need to be scared to use save states. In case you have a problem with a save state, you can always load a game save. Also, you can have up to 10 save states. You can use more than one save state. It's highly unlikely that all save states have problems.

It shouldn't. A save state contains the state of emulation. It doesn't write to a memory card. Regarding the save data corruption, it can happen regardless of whether a save state is used. evilmonkey07 didn't use a save state but his save data still corrupted.

Tell that to the people who can't save because the used savestates , also if a corrupt memory card is the problem it should be uploaded and maybe someone can fix it

Can't save and corrupted save data are two different things. For a rare case that using a save state prevents saving the game, a solution is very simple. Just use Memcard Manager to delete the save data then save again (should create a backup first). Anyway, I never heard that anybody had an issue that using a save state prevented the game save to be loaded or caused the game save to corrupt.
For a game that uses only a single save data, save data corruption is fatal. It might mean I need to redo a 20 hours gameplay all over again if I don't have any backup. 09-24-2013, 05:17 AM
I tried to transfer my save (battery) from -367 to the new stable 4.0, and it won't show up at all! Any ideas why?

I copied the GC save folder from one to the other. Then selected that memory card with the new Dolphin.
