Try using Accurate VBeam Emulation in addition with setting the Framelimit to Audio or Auto.

This doesn't work. The game is too fast.
XFB seems to limit the speed without blurring the sound.
With LLE the sound is perfect with glitches from time to time though

The main problem is the game play and the music are not sync
The speed of music is double than the game play however setting the emulator
I've played the Megaman X series many times on PS and PS2, also on the emulator like epsxe and PCSX2
The speed on dolphin is not correct absolutely. I tried almost all the setting.

@LordVador - MegaJump said Accurate VBeam worked for him, while he said setting XFB to Real still didn't work. If you're confirming that it does work, then there are conflicting reports of what the solution should be. I thought it may be a combination of Framelimiting and Accurate VBeam Emulation; there's no harm in trying either one, given it only takes a few seconds to switch your settings. At any rate, neither seems to be working for katana, unfortunately.

XFB has to be set to "Virtual".

VBeam didn't seem to be helpful and Framelimit should preferably be turned off

A small difference that you should specifically mention next time if one (Virtual) works but not the other (Real) :p

I indicated this in the thread katana linked. That's why I told him to get there.

I edited my last post here and said VBeam didn't seem to help. And Framelimit was off

Spent some time with this game on Dolphin for myself. I can confirm that Accurate VBeam Emulation did normalize the game speed for me. When I only used XFB -> Virtual, the reported gamespeed was the same as when I enabled Accurate VBeam Emulation, but it still played nearly twice as fast. I'll post my settings latter to see if that can help katana. The wiki entry for this game could stand to be updated as well, once this gets sorted.
