It crashes about midway through Mission 3: The Golden Lion, where you are ridding through the streets on the truck. I'm very new to emulation and was hoping I could get some tips for a workaround or things I might try. Up to this point the game plays well except for some audio issues. I have the latest Dolphin release (2.0) and the latest drivers.

I can use the cheats to skip to Mission 4 (which I've done) but, with the crashing, I still can't play half to a third of The Golden Lion section or any of the next section, Operation Rapunzel.

Creative X-Fi Platinum

This is an update+, Mods may want to move this and make it the official thread for this game since I don't believe there is one.

I never figured out how to keep the game from crashing during the Golden Lion section, reducing graphics settings didn't work. So I used this cheat to bypass the last section and half of Mission 3: Enter PARROT at the Enigma Machine. Green lights will confirm correct code entry. This will enable you to play Mission 4 (Several Bridges Too Far). Select the "Bonus" option underneath the Enigma Machine to enable/disable this cheat.

I did learn some other tips and tricks while playing it.

1. I never found a way to play the game with keyboard and mouse; the cursor always remained on screen but doesn't act as your crosshair so you really can't aim with it. You have to use a controller (wired 360 controller works well for me).

2. The music does not play and neither does alot of the voice work. Turn subtitles on to follow most of what is being said.

3. Make sure to check Auto-scale (try to remove borders) in the Graphics options.

4. Played most of the game at 16x12 with HiRes Textures loaded. Some levels can't be handled at these graphic settings and Dolphin crashes. Back it off to 12x10 and uncheck the HiRes Textures.

4. And most important for me, at the completion of each section where it shows you the stats for that mission, the game would crash and not save your progress. A nice trick I picked up was every time you start dolphin and start to play a mission, pause it and use the in-game Quit to close out of there and it gives you the option to Save or Replay Level. Choose Save and now start that mission again and then it won't crash when you complete it.
