When I was younger, I hated to go to weddings. Relatives came to me, poking me in the side, laughed and said, "You are the next." They have stopped the crap when I started to do the same for funerals.

Hey guys, I run at full 60fps in time trial with sound enabled and at 1280x800 without any AA or what. (Haven't tried). However, when I go to grand prix, i know the fps will drop and it drops to the range of high 40s and low 50s and sometimes high 50s but it just doesn't feel smooth as the full 60fps of time trial when I get 50+ framerate. It feels immensely sluggish despite the framerate difference. Is this a common problem?
I have audio enabled and dual core enabled but disabling audio and putting all my video settings to low does not change it. Its just weird why 50+ fps feels like it is running at 30+ I tried tinkering around with the properties and it got smoother but framerate dropped (huh?). Regardless, what settings should I use? Heard that disabling EFB increases the framerate. Which should I disable? 'Disable Copy to EFB or enable EFB to textures"? Also, should I enable safe texture cache and etc? I dont really care about graphical bugs unless they are major. I just want a smooth playing experience as much as possible Edit: zzzz. Tinkered around too much and once got a very smooth experience but it went away after I tried more settings. Now I have a big black border at the top of the screen and I cant undo it. Can someone tell me the ideal settings for this build? Anyway, under properties of the game. What does it mean when the box is ticked and dimmed instead of just ticked?

Hi all!
I am trying to get Mario Kart Double Dash working properly. I am new to Dolphin so I dont know if these issues are specific to my system or simply generic issues. Issues: 1) Dolphin often crashes when it is closed. Even when a game is not running 2) The nJoy settings are not updated in real time, I need to restart Dolphin to get them working. For example, if you enable the "Diagonal" checkbox, the dropdown list (with the 60%, 70%, 80%, percentages) is disabled until Dolphin is restarted. And when you select a new gamepad, the directional stick cannot be detected until a restart. 3) The Framerate in 150cc is much slower than 50cc and 100cc (35fps vs 60fps) 4) Power sliding and other controls (such as the accelerator and steering) is very inconsistent. Its almost impossible to power slide (with blue sparks) in Grand Prix mode. But in Time Trials its perfect. Both GP mode and TT mode run at 60FPS on my system. When I start power sliding, the game "forgets" that I am power sliding, and the power slide cancels out by itself. I've tried three different controllers using nJoy 0.3 and 0.4. One of the controllers is a Digital DPad, the others have analog sticks. 5) I cannot get the LLE DSP working at all. The game just fails to start and I get a blank screen. I have the two roms required. Ive tried changing many DSP options, including the LLE thread option, to no avail. 6) HLE DSP works well, but the Music cuts out after the first race (known issue) Builds tried: 3661, 3793 My PC: Core2Duo 3GHz, 3GB RAM, XP SP2, GeForce8800GTS 320MB Settings: 640x480, fullscreen, 2xAA, 1xAF, dual cores (all other settings are basically defaulted) |
