tried with 1vs1 lan mode...60fps, now i'm thinking can be a emulator bug.

i have discovered another bug, if you select "BBA adapter" with italian language about interface, dolphin change to "dummy", so i need to switch interface in english language to set it correctly.

This bug is fixed in 5.0-406 and newer.

I love Double Dash.  Still think it's the best Mario Kart after all these years.  I was disappointed when I didn't see much in the way of HD Texture Packs, so I started working on the following.  I've tried to keep the artwork as close to the original as possible, but obviously with much improved resolution/detail etc.  Let me know if you're interested in seeing more.

very cool. i had dumped out a goodly portion of this one (and my personal favorite, mario kart wii) before deciding they were bigger projects than i wanted to work on alone, but if find yourself overwhelmed and looking for a collaborator, maybe holler.

I'd appreciate any help you can provide, especially if you're up to tackling some of the racers textures.  I am about 90% done with the HUD (I have done all Items, all Racer photos, minimap icons, text, numbers, etc. all between 4x and 8x original resolution).

ok understood, gamecube limit fps on lan mode if 4player are on 1gamecube, so is impossible to play 8player with 2pc at 60fps (4+4 with BBA)... i want ask if there is or is possible add to dolphin any trick to force MKDD to 60fps always, something like cheat code or action replay code.

ps. any update on hd texture patch? ^^

I made my own 60fps LAN code to deal with this. Please, feel free to use it. It's designed to work on the NTSC version.

Hello everybody, I'm new to the forum. I have this problem with Double Dash, the camera "cuts" the scene (look at Luigi).
Same thing happens on Dolphin 4.0. Why is this? Thanks to anybody who can help.

Hello there everyone. I have read this thread, each and every page and it seems whatever issues I am having are either unique to me or my version of dolphin. For posterity, here are my specs:

Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
AMD Ryzen 5 3600
NVidia Geforce RTX 2060
16 gb ram


the first time I ran the game, it played buttery smooth. I did a couple races, had fun. Then a week later, I go back to it and everything boots up fine. Cycle through the menus, pick my racers and kart. Now suddenly, as soon as the cutscene introducing the track starts up, all of a sudden, I'm dipping into the teens in terms of frame rate. I have googled and searched through this forum and cannot for the life of me find anyone experiencing this issue so now I turn to you all. I can see that this thread has been inactive for two years so I hope that necroing this thread is preferable to making my own. I am not sure what other info would be pertinent to share but will offer if prompted.
