Dolphin's BBA emulation is horribly slow under Windows and far too slow to play a LAN game. You can't play MKDD's LAN multiplayer with Dolphin under Windows. It might work under Linux, but I haven't seen any confirmation of it.

They probably improved it since then. I hooked up my real gamcube to a hub and my computer to it, and linked up dolphin and the gamecube together. I"ve just been wondering now, as i used to use this kind of set up like 12 years ago to play gamecube games online, is there a way to get dolphin to be recongized by xlink kai or something? I'm happy that i can get dolphin emulators connected locally but online would be awesome.

Windows BBA emulation is much faster and more stable now than it was then, but you can't play LAN games over the Internet: the latency is too high. The only online game for GC is PSO, since it was designed for actual online play and not LAN parties. You would need to use Dolphin's netplay functionality in order to play Mario Kart over the Internet.

I used to play lan games all the time with xlink kai and warp pipe on my real gamecube, when double dash and such was much more popular back in 2004. And my internet is better so i wanna test it out myself just incase. I'll keep looking around for answers though.

Those are a system that did buffer; Dolphin's BBA implementation is low level, meaning it acts like a GameCube did as much as it can without any extra bells and whistles. It won't bake in latency or anything else.

i just can't get kai to detect dolphin. But it detects my real gamecube just fine and i can link dolphin to it np either. Hoping for a response from their end soon. Or someone who has a Gamecube, BBA and MKDD NTSC to test with.

me and my friend are trying to do netplay but races desync after a few seconds. we've tried no audio, dual core on/off, skip efb on/off. and yes we've read the netplay guide.

the console says potential desync at frame 49 when we're initially loading in but otherwise in game there are no desync warnings at all even when it is visually desynced.

Hello guys, unfortunately I'm not very tech-savvy nor very active in the scene here, can you still help me out?

I downloaded the latest version of dolphin on my mac OSX 10.11.2 on current iMa and got DD from [censored]. Is it normal that there are tearing problems? And for some reason my left trigger to slide is not working, even though I can see it's working in the gamepad configurator.

Hi guys, i would to know if lan party mode with BBA emulation is locked to 30fps, because when i play the standard MKDD is always 60fps steady.

i have tried lan mode with dolphin 5.0 official release on x2 highend pc linked with openvpn (i have tried with lowest graphics settings too).
