When running GC Harvest Moon Magical Melody, the game starts up fine, lets me select gender, etc., has one more text box, and after that I just get a black screen with music. No reaction to buttons.

I've tried with Directx9 and OpenGL, and with multiple versions of Dolphin (6901, 7351, 7412), all with the exact same problem.

Any ideas?
Specs:
Intel Core i5 M460 @2.53GHz
8GB RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon 5470
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

I have been having this same issue. I was using r6790 and the game was working fine for months. I stopped playing for about a month and when I went to use it today it would not load properly. I updated to r7415 but the game malfunctions in the same way as mentioned above. Could someone more knowledgeable than I please suggest a way to fix this? I enjoy this game.

you didn't post screenshots of your settings, which iirc is a requirement for getting anybodies idea's.

the game works fine with default settings so delete your config.

also disable the frame rate limiter for this game and use audio throttling.

I'm having the same issue. I'm on OSX. I tried using all of the default settings, and then also tried with the frame limiter and audio throttling enabled. No matter what I've tried, the screen is black except for the main menu UI elements, and then the dialog boxes during the intro sequence. Tried with all of the available versions of OSX dolphin available on the website.

Any ideas?

Nah. That's not it. Works on my FlatMii on my Wii. Tried my own disc as well, no dice. Looks like its a problem with Dolphin.

Since the menu elements render correctly, I'd wonder if it's a projection issue with the game's scene. I'd also wonder if you're actually testing it, or just giving us responses without actually looking into it yourself.

I grabbed the svn and built that even, still no dice.

I guess the question is: is anyone able to get this to run properly, and if so, how did you do it?
