hi all,
um i wanted to ask on the 3rd harry potter game for gamecube
as i have a bit of an issue with this game:

1) does this game run at all in dolphin 5.0?
i cannot get this to boot at all, no FPS or anything and im using the PAL version of the game and
i have checked that it is a redumped version (good version) via nkit tool.

i have seen videos that this game works in dolphin 4.0, but not in 5.0?

anyway to get this to work? does it need any speical config settings apart from the default dolphin
shipped settings to work?

the other HP games 1 & 2 work fine, but this one does not.

thanx

after some thought and testing on why this game doesn't or won't load on dolphin 5.0,
but it loads on dolphin 4.0.2 in a windows 32bit system,

i think the reason might be that it

1) needs some very specific settings that need to be enabled or disbaled
2) from the defalut settings, there might be something that prevents the game from even booting up
past the black screen with 0 FPS, (i have tried loading both PAL/NTSC version and in MMJ/DEV builds)

nor the PAL or the NSTC work on dolphin lastest bulids on andriod and im wondering why,

both game versions are redump versions verifled by nkit tool,

maybe the game needs MMU enabled or to use the settings from the PC bulid?

or that it can't work on OpenGL or vulkan backends?

the PC backend it uses and works is DX9, which isn't avalable on andriod phones.

i think, im not 100% sure, this needs more digging tho,
but after trying both version of this game i can confrim that it won't boot past the black screen for whatever reason apparently.

1) MMU
2) MMU speedhack
3) Skip DCBZ clearing

etc,

cuase on pc the game works with these settings,
and on dolphin it won't load at all for some reason, the wiki page says it starts, but im not getting any booting fomr this game.

Yes, but it's very slow unless you have an x86-64 CPU. You will have to edit INI files in order to enable it on Android.

In modern versions of Dolphin, this is always enabled (unless you enable full MMU emulation).

I don't recognize this setting. It must have been removed from Dolphin a long time ago.

Keep in mind that a square (as opposed to a checkmark) means that the global value will be used for a setting. So you probably don't actually have MMU enabled in that screenshot. It's more likely that the difference in behavior is caused by the wildly different Dolphin versions rather than different settings.
