Was there an issue introduced that causes Gladius to crash on that first battle regardless of Dual Core being disabled or not? I've been fiddling with every setting trying to get the game to run past the point where Ludo or Velen attacks but no luck so far, wondering if anyone's had this same issue and fixed it or not.
Used the most recent dev build at the time, 5.0-6962, using 4.0.2 now and it seems to be working fine, although with fewer frames 06-17-2018, 07:29 PM

I can confirm this. Im already 17 hra into the game, somewhere in the Steppes. Regardless what I do, game hangs and loops sound as soon as I enter combat. Build 8108. 06-21-2018, 04:08 PM
Since I seem to dumb to edit my post:
The last working version for Gladius is 5.0-681: https://de.dolphin-emu.org/download/dev/...681/?cr=de Dual core disabled and RealXFB to display videos. 07-15-2018, 09:08 AM
Hate to bump an old thread but I can't seem to edit the wiki. Got this game to run on the current build by disabling dual core and enabling cpu clock override and reducing it to 72%
Just a heads up for anyone else searching for answers. (07-15-2018, 09:08 AM)guyman Wrote: Hate to bump an old thread but I can't seem to edit the wiki. Got this game to run on the current build by disabling dual core and enabling cpu clock override and reducing it to 72% Wow, how did you come up with this? Does it have to be exactly 72%? Gonna test it right on tomorrow and edit the wiki page! EDIT: Okay, so I gave it some quick testing on build 8486. 72% does NOT make it work reliably, still got hangs sooner or later. I fiddled with some other clock settings and it seems that the lower the clock, the more stable the game. Currently at 50% and everything seemed to work fine for 10 minutes. Gonna give it a longer test tomorrow and report back! 07-22-2018, 11:06 AM
Don't worry, we're working on a real fix that doesn't require CPU clock hacks.

Regarding the issue: I did some more testing, and reducing the clock speed sadly does NOT work around the problem. Currently being at the final few Boss Fights, the game still freezes sooner or later. While it seems that a lower clock speed reduces the chances of a freeze, I went down to 40%, making the game pretty much unplayable, and still got freezes. 08-26-2019, 05:17 AM

Made my account here just to bump this. I'm sure you guys are hard at work on this (I'm continuously impressed with the progress on Dolphin). Just praying it will be playable come summer 2020 - I'm still rocking a Galaxy Note 4, despite being a phone nerd, and will be finally upgrading to the Galaxy Fold v2 5G (or a competitor) once it is available. I've been dreaming of playing Gladius on a mobile device for over a decade lol. Thanks team! |
