I'm having the exact same problem as Bloodhorde was having. I get everything set up the way the CC dolphin page says, including to uncheck the inactive pause thing. Everything seems to be working great except I can only move either character if their gba emulation screen is chosen. I am using two Xbox one controllers, and I have also tried using one controller and the keyboard, but no dice. also, the control setup isnt the problem because each character moves just fine individually as long as their gba emu screen is selected. I've been wrestling this for hours, can anyone help?

Sorry for double posting but I didn't see an edit button anywhere. I've narrowed it down and it isn't a problem with Dolphin, it is a problem with VBA-M. I have windows 10 anniversary and that seems to be the common denominator between me and the couple of people I have found that have had the same issue. VBA-M just wont let us use more than one window at a time regardless of whether "pause when inactive" is unchecked. The hopes for a fix are pretty much void, because the VBA-M forums are pretty much dead. So for anyone having the same problem as me, I'll save you a lot of time- just give up.
Well, apparently it's a Xbox One controller driver issue. The latest drivers are seriously messed up and I couldn't get it to work either until I rolled back.
This is what I did:
Edit 2: Btw, you'll ideally want to use controllers only. Using a keyboard will only work if you focus on the window. Not ideal. 11-08-2016, 07:23 AM
OMFG Garteal you are the absolute best.
While the exact driver you gave me didn't work for my device (my xbox one controllers come up as xbox device, not in the human interface devices but a separate 'xbox' tab) I searched xbox one on that site and used the top driver from this web page with your exact instructions and it works now! http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/...xbox%20one You really have no idea the gratitude that I have for you <3
That one's a bit older than the one I linked, but if it works, it works. If you're having issues though, you can probably uninstall any instance of the controller, right-click the root entry (your hostname), click on "add legacy hardware" and follow the steps.
Just out of curiosity; what exact controllers do you have? 1st gen One controllers? Elite? S controller? Edit: In case you didn't already, you can update your controller firmware by grabbing the "Xbox Accessories" app in the Store. 11-08-2016, 07:32 AM

Hello,
I'm using the latest Dolphin build, 5.0, and am trying to get this game to work without sever graphical issues as others could do since 4.0. Cutscenes have NPCs covered in black lines, freaked out eyes, double mouths and many other random issues, and there are alignment issues even if I play on native res and native settings (no AA or anything). I've tried so many different combinations and options, and I even tried to look at other people's settings when I was lucky enough to find them, however the issues persist. Here are some of the problems: http://i.imgur.com/2BJeMsF.jpg http://i.imgur.com/6Qg9gDn.jpg http://i.imgur.com/LnSrAw9.jpg http://i.imgur.com/x70HH7X.jpg http://i.imgur.com/QbOhLao.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Mk6mIoM.jpg I thought maybe the textures were borked up, so I dumped em and looked through them. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary (took the time to change some colors though). Oh, and I do not have any performance issues so far, besides a few slowdowns near waterfalls or the like. Below is the latest setting combination I have tried. Yup, I've read the wikia. It makes no mention of these issues. I even watched the videos to see if their settings would be mentioned or if the same issues would appear, but it held no answers for me.
I tried OpenGL and Vulkan (only one build had that option for me though, as it isn't there on 5.0) backends, but they did not help any. |
