Do your computers have different GPUs? If so, it might help to force enable "Store EFB Copies to Texture Only" for this game, which can be done as follows in a game INI file:
Code:[Video_Hacks]
EFBToTextureEnable = False
This will cause Dolphin to crash at the end of Goblin Wall. If you have the US version of the game, you can get rid of the crash by going to the Patches tab in Dolphin's game properties and enabling "Fix buffer overrun bug (crash at Goblin Wall)".
If you're in the same house, the speed of your internet connection doesn't matter, since the data packets just go through your home network to the other PC without ever reaching the internet. But anyway, even if you did have a slow connection, that would only cause stuttering, not desyncs.
Hello and thank you for the reply,
Yes, the PCs have different GPUs and CPUs. I'm using NVIDIA/Intel, sibling is using AMD/AMD. I'll try that option, but how do I set up this .ini? Is this done via Properties, in the Editor area? If so, this is what is listed already:
Code:
# GCCE01, GCCJ01, GCCJGC, GCCP01 - FINAL FANTASY Crystal Chronicles
[Core]
# Values set here will override the main Dolphin settings.
[OnLoad]
# Add memory patches to be loaded once on boot here.
[OnFrame]
# Add memory patches to be applied every frame here.
[ActionReplay]
# Add action replay cheats here.
[Video_Settings]
SafeTextureCacheColorSamples = 512
[Video_Hacks]
EFBEmulateFormatChanges = True
# With this setting enabled, the memory corruption caused by a game bug is not
# faithful to real hardware, leading to a crash at Goblin Wall. Note that with
# DeferEFBCopies enabled (the default), Dolphin still doesn't match hardware.
# Instead, the corruption disappears, which is arguably better than parity.
EFBToTextureEnable = False
Or do I make this .ini myself? As for the patches, yes, they are enabled. Two of them. "Fix buffer overrun bug (crash at Goblin Wall) and "Fix GBA Connections".
I'll go over my sibling's Dolphin again and make sure it's set with these options too. Hopefully it fixes the issue. We really don't enjoy the Switch co-op experience at all. lol
