Thats because things have slow access right now in x86 Imbame. Just be patient and wait for ector to update the tlb hack to fast and get things optimized for us x86 users or go ahead and go drop a 64 bit os on that e8400. I was lazy as well and I just moved to my windows 7 64 bit though I still love my nlited 32 bit xp lol.

Yeah upgrading to x64 seems to be a good thing to do.
(i was planning anyway but frickin backups.... so much data to store externally first)

but like i said before i'm already extremely happy with the fact this game works if i want fullspeed i'l play on the Gamecube
but i must say that in high rez the game is just stunning even the textures are pretty detailed for a gc game.

Sorry if I've missed this in a post, but what do I have to do to get this working on a 32bit build? I have "R 4771", and a PAL version of the game, but right when it does the memory card check it crashes. Do I need to wait for another build, tweak something, or have the NTSC, or what? Thanks.

Srredfire. Go here and you can get the most up to date committed version. Have to use dolphinil.exe but since you on 32 bit OS it will go really slow (20-30 fps max in race 30-60 in menus) We are all waiting to see the developer ector get it up to speed on windows 32 bit operating systems. Hope that Helps.

Guys which type of processor yields the best results for this game....Core2Duo? Core2Quad? i7Core? I have a core2duo mobile centrino cpu in my laptop running at 3.0Ghz.

Also, does the gpu make any difference whatsoever? I'm running two 280m in SLI.

I think you could achieve full speeds with that lappy, if you are running a x64 OS
(btw pretty nice lappy there)

As for any specific cpu i'd say anything in the Core2Duo and up range at about 2.8ghz (just my opinion).

Edit: I think that those 280m's are pretty good for this emulator even a bit overkill since a simple 4650 can already achieve pretty nice results

i just ran my pal version of f-zero on win7 x64 using svn4867, works ok (30-40 fps at 50hz mode)
using DolphinIL.exe instead of Dolphin.exe

problem is, when i crash into a wall or other vehicle the game crashes
anyone getting the same thing?

I see in your screenshots that "Lock thread to Cores" is unchecked. Is it faster without "Lock thread to cores" or what? What does that do? Thanks!
