I have to say I am also very impressed.. With my Core i7 @ 3,33ghz, the game runs at about 40-50fps.. I did get some "redundant MOV" errors in the beginning and Dolphin crashed a couple of times, but still, the game worked very good. Definetily playable!

Dolphin crashes over here, im using the settings mentioned earlier here
im using R4849. The game crashes as soon as it wants to load from the memcard.
Crashes for me when previewing the first track in story mode. It's the NTSC version, running with OpenGL with the 64-bit build.
EDIT: Crashed again near the end of my second track in a regular grand prix. 01-17-2010, 04:38 AM
Yeah, it doesn't seem fully stable yet. But at least it kinda works.... that's more than it did 2 days ago.

If anyone is having problems, make sure you are using the DX9 plugin as this has huge advantages in terms of both speed and stability.
I was just playing Fire Field @ 1920 x 1080 with 16xQ CSAA and it looks amazing, I swear it could almost compete with modern games in terms of looks. The best part of it is that it was running at > 50 fps all the way through Although some of the courses seem to be a lot harder to render, especially the sand one. My PC takes a performance hit on that one. Excellent work to all involved and I look forward to future revisions. wooo, I forgot how fast this game is ^^
As of today it's almost all the time fullspeed for me...only at the start it's a bit slow...and maybe when, like, 10 opponents are in front of me...but that doesn't happen a lot, so... ;p

Just a headsup for anyone not really following google code statements.
For now Windows 32 bit users will be getting pretty slow fps as it was stated on 4839 that "Temporarily forced JITIL to use the slow memory access for Win32 when playingtlbhack games." I can confirm its a pretty substantial fps hit. On windows 7 64 bit I can get up to around 45-55 fps while on XP 32 bit its rocking between 20-30 fps in race. If anyone if confused why there game would be going so much slower then what other people on this forum are stating then that could be a major reason besides overall system components. Also could a moderator such as nosound do as was done with New Super Mario bros and close this thread and remake a new official thread. The original topic of this thread is pages of old discussion from months ago about the game not working. A fresh redone topic would be great such as was done with the mario one.

Guys which type of processor yields the best results for this game....Core2Duo? Core2Quad? i7Core? I have a core2duo mobile centrino cpu in my laptop running at 3.0Ghz.
Also, does the gpu make any difference whatsoever? I'm running two 280m in SLI. |
