Yep, your CPU is a bit too slow for F-Zero GX. You you try to overclock it a little bit more than 4GHz? 4.3Ghz maybe? 4.5GHz?

Besides...fixing dual core would be the ideal solution as it worked well in previous builds. 02-05-2013, 10:55 PM

OK guys. I think i may have figured out the problem. It's Anti Aliasing. When setting this to anything other than "None", the game not only drops my framerate, but it also *appears* to be the cause of the crashing with Dual Core enabled. When set to AA = "none" and Dual Core enabled, my game has not crashed yet at all in the hour or so I've been testing it(knock on wood) and my frame rate is high 50's to solid 60. In addition, Accurate V-beam seems to cause lag as well. With it disabled I can get nearly full speed. Keep in mind I have only play through the first Grand Prix. I'm gonna try the other two and see what kind of performance I get.
One other thing....the sound skips whether I have HLE or LLE enabled. Using HLE helps tremendously in the fps, but it skips more. I'm hoping they work on HLE and get it back to what it was before because in previous versions of Dolphin, using HLE resulted in smooth sound with no skipping at all. 02-26-2013, 04:01 AM
Hurrah for EFB to Texture!

Holy crap, what happened to this game from the official 3.5 version to the latest revision? it got a huge speed increase since i last remember, this game used to run at... 29 frames when selecting a vehicle and while being in last place at the beginning of the races, now it runs at solid 60fps on both but crashes more frequently i know Dual Core is to blame but still this is really good

Actually it's more than that. Just going from 3.5-268 to now saw HUGE quality and performance improvements with this game. Some very recent fixes dramatically improved the game, even without EFB to Texture.

If so, is the game crashing still? For me, the crashing is hit or miss, but I'm finding that with both AA & AF turned off, the game doesn't crash under dual core that often and seems fairly stable. One of the settings under "hacks" is causing the crashes too but I can't pin my finger on it. Last version I tried was the "GLSL-master-3.5-724-x64" |
